Gerard's P.O.V
Monday, the first day of the year for my newest family addition. For once, I was asked to take the girls to school. So, at 6:00 that morning, I was awake and alive.
"JESSICA! GET READY FOR SCHOOL!!!" I yelled upstairs in the direction of her room.
"Hold up, Gee. I'm coming down." she replied, her body shape appearing in the dimmly lit hallway her room was on.
And with that, we walked out to the Ford Mustang and pulled out to go to the building of hell I dreaded leaving her at, yet knew she had to go to. We sat in an unsettling silence for at least five minutes before I looked over to her and smiled.
Then, I felt my whole world turn. I saw a large brown van tailing me before it passed in front of us. Not a huge deal until I went to get back in front to get Jessica, who was in the passenger seat, to school. The already unsettling car then rammed into the side Jessica was on. I felt the car sommersault and hit the ground roof-first. The same way the wreck paralyzed her father happened.
In all of the incredibly terrifing commotion, I caught a glimpse of a man who looked much like Jessica's grandfather.
Then, I felt darkness overtake my body.
