Just Smile - Itona x Yui Shizuki

Chapter 9

It was already the next day and Yui had again failed to do her homework. "Shizuki-San, you need to make sure you keep up with your grades. If not, I might make it so you have to take tutoring during gym class." Koro-Sensei said, an upset look on his face.

"Wha...! Well... I'll try..." Yui mumbled. "Okay, I'll see to it." The teacher said and waved Yui to leave.

She left, going back to class where he followed after.

"Good morning class!" Sensed greeted and went along with the morning routine.

Yui sat down, a shadow over her face. "What's wrong?" She heard Itona ask. We heart lifted a bit that Itona was concerned about her.

Yui glanced up and saw him glancing at her from the board. "Koro-Sensei said that he would replace my gym class with tutoring if I don't get my grades up." She simply replied and sighed.

"What if I helped you... Study? I could go over to your place and we could study together." He said and Yui brightened, "Sure, sounds good," she whispered with a smiled and Itona exchanged it for a brief moment before relaxing to a neutral expression.

Yui stretched her arms, she felt a bit of an ache from sitting in the chair. The hours of sitting in the classroom felt like centuries.

"Okay class, today let's play capture the flag! You all understand the game as been taught before so let's start." Koro-Sensei announced.

Yui smirked at Itona who was on the opposite team as everyone took turns to grab their weapons. "Now make sure you play fair kiddos, and try not to get hurt." Koro-Sensei added, blowing the whistle once everyone is in place.

Yui dashed off through the trees, taking the right sided route with some others who split among the path. Hopping onto a tree, she waited for the others to be ahead before dropping back down and staying low.

Yui listened for any extra movement, she was suppose to stand as mid-guard and advance to vanguard after meeting an opponent. She was okay with that because that meant she would have to execute any intruders as the vanguards take the flag.

Just like that, she heard a twig snap and Yui stayed low, closing her eyes to clearly hear which direction it was.

Another step, to her left, Yui waited again.

Yui pounced at the next step to her side and stabbed her intruder up to their chest. Oh, it's (NAME). "Aw man," she grumbled, walking off. (Sorry I haven't watch A.C. In a very long time lol)

Yui smirked, walked closer to the edge of the forest. She noticed some figures on the other side of the forest and stayed low, readying her gun loaded with paint balls.

Yui stayed steady, and quickly shot down the next target that popped their head up and gun fire rained over Yui's head.

Yui ducked, staying where she crouched, as she shot her next to victims as the popped out.

Yui checked her ammo, and found herself with 7 more paintballs still. Making sure the coast was clear, she ran through the open ground, no trees allowing protection.

A red paint ball landed near Yui's foot and she dashed back into hiding, checking the trees. There must be a sniper somewhere...

She didn't move, waiting for her opponent to make the mistake of moving, and they did as she saw movement in the trees, then a flash of their weapon gleaming in the light and she shot three times, then entered her opponents area with a smile plastered on her face.

Yui watched her opponent retreat as she crouched down, staying near the right edge of the forest. She didn't meet someone for a few feet until she heard someone behind her move.

Yui quickly jerked her head around, not making a noise as she saw Itona's head pop up from the bushes.

They both stood there in silence.

"Hi." Yui said.

Yui had to roll back as Itona lunged. Rolling a tad bit to far, she fell on her back, allowing Itona to pounce on her and she grabbed his hand where his knife stained with paint hovered above her neck.

"Heh," Yui said, wondering what to say but Itona eyes were trained on her own. Yui felt flustered but knew this trick.

No it's not that cliche moment reader-san~

She carefully focused on her peripheral vision, and noticed Itona's left arm reaching for his gun.

Yui captured her moment when he latched on his gun and shot but Yui kicked his gun, missing her abdomen and hitting the ground, painting it red.

They both jumped back, a blades in both hand and Yui's gun loaded and ready. She didn't hesitate to shoot at Itona who ducked and sped towards Yui but she blocked with her knife, their blades slipping and they both suddenly bumped into each other.

The two fell on their butts, a bit surprised about what had just happened when they both found themselves with a painted line running down their chest.

"Hmph." Yui huffed, standing up and giving Itona a hand who took it and they both walked to their time-out area.
