Jun and Jiro walked through the countryside, Jun as scantily clad as ever. The two had been walking for two days straight. It was nighttime now.
"Master," said Jun, "we need to stop to eat, drink, and sleep."
"I know," said Jiro, "but we didn't bring any supplies, so we just have to go until we find the next town, then beg for stuff there."
"How did you forget that we needed food?"
"It's not that I forgot, we just didn't have money for it."
Jun sighed. Then, suddenly, Jiro collapsed.
Jun would have liked to flee then, but she was still bound by the order not to leave Jiro's side. So, she merely stood by his side until she too collapsed. That was when she heard a horse galloping towards them.
She heard the rider dismount and run over to them.
"Oh my gods, are you okay?" a female voice asked, but by that point Jun's consciousness was fading and she soon fell into a deep sleep.
She awoke to an unfamiliar ceiling. She realized that she was in a very soft bed. It would have been a very comfortable position had she not also realized that she was in said bed with Jiro, who was still fast asleep. Jun sat up and got out of bed.
They were in a nice, spacious room, with a window that gave a good view of the countryside. The door to the room opened and a maid walked in, carrying a tray on which there were two plates of breakfast.
"Oh, you're awake!" said the maid when she saw Jun. "I'll inform the Mistress at once, here's your breakfast."
She handed Jun the tray and left. Jun carried the tray over to the bed and set it down on a nightstand. Then, started eating. The smell of food also seemed to rouse Jiro.
"Ugh," he groaned. "That smells good. Servant, feed me."
"Yes, Master," said Jun.
She took the plate she hadn't yet eaten from and started feeding Jiro from it.
Soon afterwards, a girl with shoulder length brown hair wearing an elegant white dress walked in.
"Ah, you're awake, it's good to see you well," said the girl.
"Woah," said Jiro. "You're Seleste Stella, the Lady Knight!"
The girl gave a small laugh.
"That is what they call me," she said. "And you are?"
"I'm Jiro and this is my servant, Jun. We're two broke people from the capital," said Jiro.
"Well, you're welcome to rest here and be treated as guests for the day. Please enjoy my estate's accommodations!"
"Yeah, we will!"
Jun and Jiro took a small tour of the estate, admiring the views and tasting the food. Several times during this process, Jiro insisted on returning to their temporary room to "rest together."
At the end of the day, Seleste came to say good night.
"You can stay here through the night," she said.
"You truly are an angel, Lady Knight," said Jiro. "Please, turn around so that I may bestow upon you a gift."
"That's hardly necessary."
"I insist."
"Well, okay then."
Seleste turned around. Jiro took a collar from his pack and placed it around Seleste's neck. Jun wanted to do something, but was too scared of being punished to act.
When the collar snapped on and locked, Seleste whirled around with a scowl.
"What did you--" she started. Then, when she saw Jiro, her face softened. "You beautiful, wonderful god!"
"It worked perfectly!" Jiro announced. "This will be our new base of operations, right Seleste?"
"Yes, Master!"
"Good, now, you two make out for me."
"Yes, Master," said Seleste and Jun together.
