The smell of dust and emptiness filled my nostrils as I entered the library, seeing that it was pretty much empty. There were maybe a few people, no one under 30. I couldn't believe my mam was making me do this. I didn't think I'd ever run out of books at home, to have to come to the library that no one EVER visits.

"Pick out whatever books you want, Jade. I'll be upstairs. They have older books up there."

"How much older can these books get?" I asked, giving a small grin.

She rolled her eyes, kissed my forehead, and made her way up the creaky, spiraled staircase.

I turned to the beginning of the bookcases, looking to see if I could find anything to read in a place four times my age. There were science fiction stories, and thousands of nonfiction stories. What kind of crap was that? Where was all of the fiction?

"Need some help?" a voice asked from behind me, starling me from my thought. I turned, and saw a beautiful blonde, dressed in a black leather jacket, ripped jeans, and a loose white t-shirt.

"Oh um, I'm just looking for the fiction books. Do you know where they are?" I asked, receiving a smile from her.

"Yeah, follow me." she replied, walking towards the left side of the library. I followed her, my hands, stuffed in my jean pockets. She brought me to a random section of books, and pointed at them.

"This is what you'll want." she said, giving a small grin. I read the sign above it, and realized that she brought me to the "Romance" section.

I glanced at her, wondering, how in the world she knew I loved romance books.

"You seem like a girl that likes romance, am I correct?" she asked, giggling. I smiled, and nodded.

"I do, actually. Do you enjoy them as well?" I asked, gazing at the assortment of books.

"They're all mine, so yes, I'd say I like them." she laughed.

"All yours?"

"I donated all of the romance books. They belonged to me, but I'd rather share them with the public."

"That's so thoughtful of you." I said, giving her a smile. They had countless romance novels, and they all looked interesting. I gazed over at the girl, who was flipping the pages slowly through a book. She looked so.. beautiful. And all she was doing was standing there.

"What's your name, love?" I asked, grabbing a book from the shelf, titled, "Love After Midnight."

"Perrie. Perrie Edwards. And yours?"

"Jade Thirlwall."

"Beautiful name." she replied, making me smile.

"So is yours. I love it." I said without thinking.

She laughed, and closed her book.

"Want to come and read with me? There's a little table back there. It's really quiet." Perrie insisted. I smiled, and gave her a slight nod, while inside, I was screaming from excitement. She took me to the back of the room, and just as she said, there was a small little table, consisting of two small chairs. Perrie sat down in one, and looked up at me with a smile.

"Come and sit." she said, patting the seat next to her.

I giggled, and sat next to her.

"This is one of my favorites. Lust and Dubiousness. It's such a cliché romance.."

"Is that why you like it?"

"I mostly like it because it's filled with beautiful girls like you." she said, giggling.

"You mean, pretty girls like YOU?" I fought back, smiling. She smiled, and turned to a random page in the book.

"Page 374, Princess Adrianna proposes to the girl she met one night at a club. Long story short, they met there and the princess wasn't supposed to fall for girls. But she couldn't help fall for the brunette she saw alone at the bar. And the princesses parents were mad and shit, because she left the palace when she wasn't supposed to, blah blah blah. Super cliché, as you can tell.." she finished off with a small laugh.

"It sounds amazing." I whispered, not realizing how close I was to her. Perrie turned her head to look at me, and I felt her lips slowly collide with mine, making me feel so.. amazing. The library was even more silent than before, with only the sounds of Perrie's soft breathes escaping her mouth between kisses.

When she pulled away, she smiled brightly.

"I barely even know you, but I feel like I've known you for years." she said softly.

I grinned, and nodded.

" I feel something, you know." I admitted, thinking about how crazy it was to fall in love at a library.

"Jade? Where are you?" I heard my mam call out.

"Oh no.. That's me mam. I have to go.." I said softly, turning to her again. She kissed me once more, and handed me the book in her hands.

"Read it for me, okay? I'll be back next Thursday. If you're done by then. come and tell me how it was." she said simply. I took the book, and hugged Perrie.

"I'll definitely be back."

"Good." she replied.

And that was when I fell for Perrie. The girl with the romance books and the beautiful blue eyes.
