Chapter 9

Samantha's POV

While we ran back to my house, I couldn't help but admire my mates wolf form. Xavier's coat was a jet black that glinted in the sun. I wonder how I'm gonna explain what I am to Xavier. Maybe his father could help. Through the mate bond I can feel that Xavier feels hurt that I didn't tell him we were mates or what I am before.

I wonder if he'll let Rachel join his pack

Our Rose corrected.

I wonder if he'll let Rachel join our pack.

Maybe her mate is in the pack. I'm gonna have to tell Jason what I am to well tomorrow is his birthday I can do it then he's turning 15, he never thought this would be his present.

Snapping out of my thoughts I realize we have arrived I shift back, fully clothed.

"Rachel wait here, I'll go get you some of my clothes you can wear them for now just a minute"

I run in the house and get her a sports bra, under wear, a t shirt, and some pants. I quickly bring them outside. Rachel puts them in her mouth and walks behind a tree to shift back.

Xavier walks behind a different tree and comes back wearing a pair of shorts that were hidden in a tree I assume.

"Come on let's go in" I say.

I lead the way and we all go in and sit on the couch I can hear Jason in his room, and Sandra in the kitchen. I open a mind link between me and Sandra and tell her what happened and ask her to come help Rachel clean up, so I can talk to Xavier.

She walks in helps Rachel to the other room to get cleaned up. I look up at Xavier and see him already looking at me with a look I can't decipher.

Just as I was about to speak Xavier beats me to it.

"Your a werewolf to then? But I couldn't scent it on you."he asks.

"Well that's because I'm not a werewolf, I'm a soul-shifter. I can't just shift into a wolf I can shift into any animal I've seen. Your father, I met the other day told me that your great grandmother was like me, so that's why I assume we are mates. My brother, as far as I know isn't able to shift. And as far as I know I'm the last soul shifter. Any questions?"

He looked amazed. "So you were that dog on the beach, and the wolf at the fight?"

"Yeah."

"Wow you are a great fighter, by the way you took down more rogues than my beta."

"Well I hate rogues, so yeah"

"And you knew we were mates?"

"Before you did yes, so did your wolf Damien, you should also know that once we mate since an ancestor of yours could shift like me you'll be able to also."

"Awesome, and you know I'm gonna be alpha"

"And when you become Alpha I'll become Luna"

Just as he was about to ask another question I heard my brother coming downstairs.

'Ask me later, my brother doesn't know anything of what I am or you are so just wait till he leaves, and before you ask it's a Soul shifter thing' I mind linked him just as Rachel and Sandra come back in the room. And what happened next was so shocking, I would have screamed had I not been so shocked.
