The Story of Madeline Grimm

The Next Generation (2010)

Madeline was never a normal girl. She was far from normal. But this is the part where where the story starts to change and pick up pace. There will be no more time jumps and everything will be steady from here on.

Now, to introduce Professor William Stone. William Stone lived a pretty normal life for a genius. Studied here, Researched that. Graduated, Got Degrees, Starts life as Scientist. Well It's not that simple. Most Scientists want to expand on the knowledge that we humans have already got, things our ancestors discovered. But William was always looking for something new. Things so bizarre that people in this day and age would consider them Science Fiction. And so you can imagine how, Prof. Stone working at a university on exciting new projects, gets his funding cut when the higher ups consider them to be a little far fetched. So the Prof. gets up, packs his bags and leaves. After being rejected by the old generation he sets out to make the next a better one. Aged 46, Prof William Stone becomes a Tudor, and gets his first student. Madeline.

Now after two years of helping Madeline with her school studies, Prof Stone notices something strange in the Waters house. The Grimm Reaper was always hidden from visitors, but after  picking up strange paranormal readings on his Ecto-Detector, William decided to go look upstairs. Specifically in the room where the door was always closed. After Excusing himself to go to the toilet, Stone opened the door and found a surprise, a hooded figure. Floating a meter off the ground, studying a book. Before Stone could scream, Grimm clicked his fingers and Prof. Stone fell to the floor. Madeline heard the noise and ran upstairs as fast as she could. When she reached the room, the reapers hands were covering the Tudors face. He was about to perform a memory wipe. "No" she yelled "don't take his memory away, dad please, give him a chance, he's good to me!' The Grim Reaper studied her "my daughter, people are afraid of what they don't understand, I am sure he will expose me, like your other father did" Madeline fell to her knees, overcome with emotion. "Please then, make him understand!" Then the Grim Reaper paused. Thought for a moment then placed his hand on the professors forehead, flooding him with the infinite knowledge of the Universe.

When Prof. Stone awoke, he couldn't process all of his thoughts at once. Billions of ideas bustling through his head. It sent him insane. He left very quickly, not saying a word. Madeline was very concerned. "What happened?" The Grimm Reaper turned his hooded head. "Now he sees"

That night when Madeline was asleep, the Professor came back. He crawled in though her window and injected her with a special formula, then quickly whisked back out the window.

The next day Madeline felt very ill. She was dizzy and vomiting. Her mother persisted she stay home from school but Madeline didn't want to to miss her test the Prof had been helping her with  the previous night. On the walk to school a disoriented Madeline staggered into the road. In the way of an oncoming bus. Too unwell to realise what was going on. The bus rapidly sped towards her. It was too late for the driver to pull the brakes. But this wasn't the end. Madeline was knocked unconscious by the collision. But it should of killed her. She was confused when she got up off the ground and looked at the bus. It was on its side, 10 meters away from her and had a massive human shaped dint in it. Madeline' jaw dropped. She had stopped the bus alright. She had nearly ended everybody in it. Once again, Madeline's life was changed forever.
