I grabbed the envelope off my dresser and slipped it in my purse. I fixed my makeup and left with my mom to go to Lia's house.

"I see you're planning on telling everyone" my mom said looking at the envelope

"No. Just Kiania for now."

"Why not Brian?" She raised an eyebrow. No matter how many times I tell her i will when I'm ready. she keeps asking.

"I will soon"

I feel like that's a touchy subject. I want to tell Brian but he has other things to focus on. But then again he does deserve to know. The smell of charcoal burning took me from my thoughts. It was actually a really nice day and lia's mom wanted to have a barbecue.

"Hi baby" Erica said kissing my cheek. "Carsalia Ivy's here"

My mom and Erica mom went to the back with the rest of the adults. I went to Lia room where Nani was sitting on Lia bed.

"Look at the tummy Girl" I said sitting in the side of her.

"I know. I'm ready for her to come out" she laughed.

"Guess what she's Tryna name her?" Lia said. I raised my eyebrows wondering what "Creative" name she came up with.

"Leilani" Nani answered before Lia could.

"I think it's cute" Kay said coming out the bathroom. I nodded in agreement. I decided Now would be a good time to make my announcement. I place the envelope in the center of us and Nani and Lia looked confused.

"What's this?" Nani asked. Already knowing I went to playing my iMessage games.

"Open it" ivy said smiling a little. Nani opened it and screamed jumping around. You know for someone pregnant she sure has a lot of energy.

"Omg congratulations" she said hugging ivy. Lia looked at the ultrasound pictures and started cheesing.

"You ain't excited?" Lia asked me.

"I already knew. Just didn't think it was my place to tell y'all" I shrugged.

"You told Brian? Wait it is by Brian right?" Nani asked her

"Hell Yeah. I don't be hopping on everything with a dick" ivy said. "Don't worry I'll tell him when I'm ready."

I was hungry so I went downstairs to see if the food was done and it Damn sure was. I couldn't even pick up a plate before all of their fat asses came rushing in.  We sat at the table and said grace and ate. Brian was eyeing ivy and you could see she was getting uncomfortable.

"Uh I'm gonna go to the bathroom" ivy said scooting her chair away from the table. Brian got up as soon as she did and Nani gave me a look and I gave Lia the same look. You and your friend ever notice something and y'all give Eachother that look. Yeah that was me Lia and Nani. Ivy came back minutes later and we all looked at her then back to our plates. She hugged us and left.  Brian came back looking like someone stole his dick. Me being smart, decided she probably told him and he got upset.

"Nani , how could you not tell me?" Brian snapped.

"First of maybe if you kept your dick in your pants we wouldn't have to keep fucking secrets" Nani yelled.

What I tell you? Anyway they started arguing and having a yelling match. I pulled Nani upstairs and into lia's room to calm down. Her face was red and she was shaking her leg. Pregnant people Are people.
