"Garin, where is it?" I asked for the second time. He sighed and mumbled something under his breath before answering me.
"In a certain dungeon...but Kirito, you'll be alone, nobodies got the guts to go up there..." Garin said, biting his bottom lip.
"Well, I do." I retorted. Garin smiled and sighed.
"I can tell you're the kind of guy with the urge to adventure, but mate, if you die up there, there ain't no second chances."
"I didn't expect I'd ever get a second chance." I nodded. "But I've got one now so I may as well use it." I have to get back. I have to live. I thought, gritting my teeth. I felt my hands shake, nervously, even just thinking about it made me frightened.
"Hey, if you're planning to stick around, I'd be happy to treat ya to dinner..." Garin mused, looking at another screen that had popped up next to me.
"Your hunger bar. It's low." He continued.
"Th-thanks." I said slowly. "I'd be glad to join you...I guess..."

As I followed Garin through the alleys and paths that wound through This place, I got a rush of memories back. It was almost like a clone of the Town of Beginnings, and some like the villages on the separate floors. There were NPC store clerks and we even passed a place that looked like the old Tavern my friends and I used to go. Asuna and I too... I flinched, trying not to think of the fact that I had no idea how she was or if she was Okay or not. I had a tiny glint of hope though, because if Kayaba actually did kill her, we may be reunited again.
"We're here." Garin nudged me, pulling me out of my thoughts. We blinked and looked at him as he walked up the front steps of a tall brick building (very much resembling all the others I'd seen in this village.)
"Well, you coming or not?" Garin said.
"Oh...yeah." I said softly as I followed him inside. We were greeted by a pretty normal looking inside, with a fireplace and a few chairs lined up against a long wood table. There was a staircase at the end of the room that lead... upstairs, as you can probably imagine.
"Chikara! Bunji!" Garin called up the staircase "Sachi! C'mon downstairs we have a newbie here!"
"Sachi?" I mumbled underneath my breath. I looked intently at the staircase and who was running down it. First were two guys, similar to my age, one blonde and one black haired, both wearing the same armor model as each other.
"Yo!" They grinned in sync when they saw me. I felt myself nod so sincerely it must looked like I was bowing. I probably looked anxious as they gave me a look when I heard footsteps rushing down the staircase.

It was a miracle. I felt my spirits light up when I saw her hurrying down the stairs. It was her, just like my heart had hoped.
"Who's the..." Sachi started before she saw me "guest..." She jolted down the stairs and looked straight at me.
"Kirito..." she mumbled. I nodded, tears forming in the corners of my eyes. Sachi burst into happy tears and rushed up to hug me.
"You two know each other?" Garin asked.
"Y-yeah... we were in a guild before...but..." I started, then stopped, I didn't know why. I grit my teeth and looked down at her, my eye catching the number atop her head.
"Sachi...has a week..." Garin said before I could, looking pained. "We wanted to just have as much as we could with her before she... I mean...the other's've known her longer but..." I looked down into her eyes, but she avoided my gaze.
"Wait...it's been a year though..." I pondered "Since that happened..."
"I-It used to be...quite a while, when I came here, But that was when there were eight viruses...now that there's only one the numbers got smaller..." Sachi stammered softly. "But now..." She pulled off of me and hurried over to where the two other guys were. They shrugged at each other.
"I'lllll be in the kitchen." Garin whistled, rushing up the steps.
    "Okay!" The two men saluted.
"Introduce yourselves you idiots!" Sachi snorted at them, completely ignoring the past conversation. I looked at her, tears in my eyes. She looked back at me but shook her head.
"Oh...yeah..." The guy with the blonde hair started "I'm Chikara! And my brother is Bunji!"
"N-nice to meet you..."  I stuttered. Bunji looked at his brother, raising his eyebrows. Sachi half-smiled, breaking the awkward silence and making it a fest of laughter, probably at me. I tried to laugh it all off too, but my stomach was churning and my brain was recollecting thoughts. My heart thumped hard in my chest as everyone else started talking about different things that my ears were blocking out until Garin came down with freshly made food, meant to refresh the hunger bar to the max number.

But I couldn't taste anything.
