07. Jealousy

Quen.

Quen.

Quen.

Lagi nalang si Quen...

Daniel thought to himself.

He clicked the red "x" mark on the window, as Kathryn's twitter page disappeared.

Daniel sighed, frustrated, and closed his laptop. He hadn't talked to Kathryn in five days.

FIVE DAYS. He repeated to himself.

Their flight was two days ago. Kathryn had been home for two days now and he and her had made no contact whatsoever. 

Daniel felt he had the right to make "tampo". 

Getting up from his bed, he made his way to the kitchen to get breakfast. It was only seven in the morning, on a Saturday, so everyone else was asleep. He didn't even know why he was awake that early. Considering he went to bed at two in the morning the night before.

Hmm, ano ba pwedeng kainin...

Daniel opened the fridge and got the rice that was in a tupperware. He placed it in the microwave to heat for three minutes. 

Then he decided to eat sausage and egg as well.

Grabbing the pan from the cabinet below the stove, he placed it on the stove and turned on the fire, then put cooking oil. He grabbed an egg from the fridge and cracked it, the egg starting to cook on the pan.

*BEEP! BEEP!* The microwave sounded.

Daniel left the egg to cook and went to get his rice out of the microwave.

"Ah sh-t..." He mumbled, realizing the rice's container was still too hot to get by his barehands. He decided to wait till it cooled down to get it. 

The egg had finished cooking so Daniel transferred it to his plate, and grabbed a can of vienna sausage on his way to the dining room where he set his plate and sausage.

Going back into the kitchen, he also got his rice which was now bearable to hold, and got himself a glass of cold water.

Daniel was now at the dining table about to have his first spoon of breakfast when his phone rang.

♪ I wanna run through the halls of my high school

I wanna scream at the top of my lungs ♪

He looked at his phone screen.

Incoming Call...

Lester Giri 

"Hello?" Daniel answered.

"DJ? Musta?"

"Ah, okay naman. Medyo. Ewan. Bakit?"

"Wala lang..."

Daniel waited for him to talk more but Lester did not say anything else.

"O... So ba't ka napatawag?"

"Yayain sana kita sa CGS. Tayo ng P5. Bored ako eh, haha." 

Daniel hesistated. He wasn't in the mood to be around people, but he realized this might get his mind off certain things... Or certain people.

"Geh, game. Anong oras?"

"Anong oras na ba? Eight na... Mga ano, 12 noon, o 1 p.m.?"

"12 nalang. La naman akong ginagawa sa bahay eh."

"O siya, siya. Geh, bro. See you later."

"Sige, bye."

Daniel had put away his dirty dishes and made his way back to his room. He opened his laptop and checked the time.

9:45 A.M. 

Only his lola and the maid were awake. His mom, Karla was still asleep due to late taping the night before, and his sisters, Carmella and Magui, just didn't wake up early.

"Kasi kuya, weekends are for my beauty rest so I will be more beautiful, you know!"  Daniel remembered Magui telling him that when he asked why she never woke up early on weekends.

He decided to log onto facebook to kill time. He told himself he would take a shower at 10:30.

Daniel smiled, he gained 500 subscribers over night.

Wow guys! 500k subscribers overnight! Grabe talaga kayo! Love you all! Salamat! :* He typed up on his status.

MIss na daw niya tayo. Tagal na din nating di naghahangout kasama niya.

Daniel didn't reply. His mood wasn't the greatest, and after some tweets of Zharm he didn't think seeing her in person would improve his mood.

He went back to his laptop, going through his news feed, something caught his eye.

Kathryn Chandria posted new photo(s).

Daniel frowned, clicking one of the photos, then viewing the rest of them.

It was photos of her and Enrique in Bhutan.  

Kathryn was all smiles, and had wacky photos as well. She seemed so comfortable and happy.

Daniel smiled at this thought. He always wanted her to be happy, but at the same time he couldn't help but be jealous of the guy in the pictures with her.

He was reading the comments on the photo when he saw one comment that read, "OH EM! SIla na ba?! Kala ko si Daniel gusto niya?! uwaahhh!! ano ba yan. :(( Pati sa twitter puro si quen </3".

He sighed, remembering the other photos he saw on her twitter page, and how she had new multiple tweets to Enrique and his publicist.

Sure, it was about dogs, but one common factor could lead to many others, and that could lead to something else.

T-ngina naman kasi, Kath. Ang labo mo. Sabi mo gusto mo ko pero ni hindi ka nga nagpaparamdam eh. Ang gulo, punyeta. He thought to himself.

Then something hit him.

If you want to play this game, edi ako din maglalaro.

Daniel decided that if it was okay with Kathryn to hang out with Enrique and not contact him after she had been gone for two weeks with limited communication, then it would be okay for him to hang out with Zharm.

He replied to Lester's BBM message.

Sabihin mo kay Zharm, sige sama siya. Miss ko na rin siya kamo.

a/n: I know, I know! I take forever to update then I give you this short chapter. Sigh, I'm sorry guys! I know what I want to happen, but I decided to end it here so it'll be easier to start the new chapter. 

I promise I won't make you wait as long for the next one, I'm gonna start typing it out now after I finish my chores so I can have it up sometime this week.

Also, who watched the PRINCESS AND I pilot episode week? Ang gondooo. So excited till we see Gino. <3

But KiKay (Mikay/Kiko) is also so adorable and I love them, haha!
