Hahalikan ko ba siya?

*ding*

Kathryn's phone had beeped, signaling she had a new message. Daniel sighed and pulled his face away from hers. He twiddled with his fingers on his lap, as Kathryn sat back in her old position staring at her phone. It was blinking red, but she was paying no attention to it.

"Um.. Kath, sorry ah.." Daniel said, facing Kathryn and scratching the back of his head.

Waiting for the reply that never came, Daniel stood up from the swing. "Sige.. um, tulog na ako. Good night."

"Sorry ulit."

Daniel was making his way up the stairs going back inside the house when Kathryn snapped back into reality. 

"Daniel! Sandali!" She stood up from the swing and ran to the steps where he stopped to wait for her. 

"Di mo hinintay reply ko..." Kathryn said shyly looking down at the ground.

"Huh?"

"Sinabi mo na gusto mo ako, diba?"

Daniel nodded.

"Gusto rin kita." Kathryn said, slowly looking up at him.

"Seryoso?"

"Oo.. ayaw mo?" Kathryn joked.

"Syempre gusto ko!" Daniel said, laughing. "Lika nga dito." He had pulled her in for a hug, to which she responded to by wrapping her arms around his back.

Kathryn broke off the hug and smiled at him.

"Geh, tulog ka na. Late na. Puputok na mga eyebags mo oh," she laughed.

"Papatulugin nalang, nanginsulto ka pa..." Daniel said frowning. 

"Sus. Kelan ka pa nagining sensitive, ha?" Kathryn asked, sticking her tongue out at him in a childish manner. "Good night na nga!" she laughed, taking hold of his hand and pulling him into the house.

Daniel interlaced his fingers with hers and scratched the tip of his nose with his thumb, hoping she wouldn't pull her hand away.

They were walking towards the guest room, and when she opened the door, they saw Lester on the bed, clearly awake, typing on his phone.

Lester heard the door open and looked up from his phone at the two.

"Uy! Nandiyan na pala kayo. Kala ko nakatulog kayo sa labas." Lester said, trying not to make it obvious that he had not come back on purpose.

He had put his phone down on the bed and stood up.

Daniel and Kathryn were still holding hands.

Lester smirked, then grinned at them. "YOOOOOWN!"

"Kayo na?! Buti naman!"

Kathryn looked at her and Daniel's entwined hands and blushed.

"Haha, bro. Hindi kami." Daniel said, walking towards the bed, and sitting down with Kathryn beside him. 

"Hindi pa." Daniel said, then put his arm around Kathryn's shoulder. 

Kathryn laughed and rolled her eyes.
