I walked outside of my bedroom door, my house keys jingling at my waist. I had straightened my curly mane of hair and now it was silky smooth and soft. I really wanted to get it permed, but my mum said no. I sighed as I made my way downstairs, wearing my navy blue hoodie that I've had for years. I really cherished the thing. I wore it over my shirt and I stopped at the front door to put on my black converse. "See you later mum!" I yelled out, grunting when I didn't get a response. I made my way out the door, locking it.

As I walked down the sidewalk, towards my school, I let my mind wander, thinking about all the memories I had with them, and how much fun it had been with them even though they were mean towards me. I continued on my way slowly towards the school, and I looked up to see I was coming up to an intersection. I looked at the lights facing me, and I saw they were red, so I took my time, and stopped when I reached the curb, standing there, waiting for the light to change. "Take a step back quickly." The voice in my head said. I suddenly recognized the voice to be the one from my dreams. I felt a shiver fall down my back. "You're running out of time, take a step back..!" The voice demanded. I looked to the side of me and I saw the reason. There was a car heading straight for me. I turned around and bolted back, making sure I was out of the way.

The car had barely missed my heels. This caused my heartbeat to accelerate, and I put my hand on my chest over my heart and I clutched it, out of pain. I tried to calm my breathing, but I couldn't. My heart felt like it was going to explode. "Are you okay miss!?" I heard someone shout. My vision was blurring. I needed to calm myself before I had a seizure. "Miss, can you hear me? How many fingers am I holding up!?" The voice rang out. I was on the ground, clutching my chest, on my hands and knees. I glanced to the side from which the voice was coming from and I grunted. "I'm fine, just a little scare is all..." I mumbled. "And you're holding two fingers up. " I commented. I knew the number of fingers they put up, because they always used two. Well, most of the time.

I got up, and sighed, after my heart beat had returned to normal. Just then, the ambulance arrived. I glanced at them and then I took off towards my destination. Once I was a few blocks away, I slowed my running in to a sprint, then to a jog, until finally I was walking again. "Do you trust me?" The voice asked. 'Of course I do. I mean, I'd be squished if it weren't for you.... Um, who are you exactly? Is this just an imagination or something? Have I finally gone mental?' I thought in my head. "You can trust that I'm real and I'm here to help you..." And that was the reply. Well, that wasn't much help at all really. I figured I would just think about it later.

I walked a few more blocks until I spotted the field, and I studied it, to see if they showed up. I sighed when I saw they weren't there yet. I checked my phone and I saw a reply from my best friend. "That's too far, come to my house, I have everything set up. Everyone is coming to my house today anyways. See you soon!" was what I read. Well, I was closer to her house; I just had to walk a half hour to get there. I groaned and decided to take a cab. I put my hands in my pocket and grumbled when I came to the realization that I'd left my wallet in my room. I just continued to walk to my friend's house, my feet hurting by the time I got there.

"Nina!" I shouted out to my friend once I was at her doorstep. She opened the door and I walked in sighing. I could finally get off my feet. "Where is everyone else?" I asked, turning to Nina. "They're downstairs." Nina said, and went down the stairs and in to the basement. I got up and followed. "Avril! Get your sweet ass down here!" I heard Dustin shout. I ran the rest of the way down the stairs and giggled, jumping in to his arms for a hug. "Hey Dustin, I'm going miss you!" I said, lying through my teeth. I really didn't like Dustin; I didn't like most of the class. The only people I did like were James, Nina, Nicole, Nick, and Anthony. Dustin and I didn't' really get along at all, not even from the beginning. But I did have a crush on him, but it left once he told me what he thought of me.
