Chpt 3

Jack just stood there and laughed as a ton of mud poured out of Amirysia's locker, covering her from head to toe. He looked around and saw the guys high fiving Phil, he hated that guy. Phil was always the one to tease Amirysia the most and one day Jack would get him back. But sadly that day would have to wait because there was no way that Jack could or would, ever stand up for his sister.

From Jacks point of view, how were people supposed to respect him as Alpha if he was constantly having to take care of his fat little sister. No one would listen to him and he would become a laughing stock, he would have no way to control the pack. Jack saw it as protecting his position of Alpha. That's why he never helped his little sister. And what if he died, Amirysia was the Alpha female and would have to take over. There was no way in hell that anyone would listen to her.

Everything was better this way. Plus he kind of hoped that all the teasing and abuse would finally make Amirysia look at herself and try to change. It was embarrassing visiting other packs and having them all snicker when your Alpha female enters. Embarrassed, that's what Jack was when he saw or thought of Amirysia. And he didn't even feel bad about it, he thought it was normal- perfectly fine and normal.

Leo also stood there, watching his mates eyes fill with tears, covered with so much pain. The thought brought a knife to his heart and this angered him. He didn't want to believe that Mia was his mate!- wait, Mia? Shit he already gave her a nickname. That realization alone almost caused him to growl. This was bad, really bad. He couldn't even imagine the amount of hell the guys would give him if they found out about him and Amirysia. Leo, one of the hottest, sluttiest jocks in school, paired with the most embarressing chick in the entire pack. Hell even her brother was embarrassed by her, how was Leo supposed to feel any different? Having Mi- Amirysia as our Alpha female has already earned the pack laughs from others and caused trouble in gaining respect. Being the Beta, Leo knew all the stuff that went on.

Leo was relieved when Amirysia fled from her locker, that way he wouldn't have to face the feelings that would clearly ruin him. His reputation would be destroyed and then he would have nothing. Some might even suggest getting a new Beta and that wasn't even a possibility to Leo. He had to talk to Amirysia and make it clear that he didn't want her and to never tell anyone. Damn he hoped she listened. But he could just call her crazy if she spilled, no one would believe her, Leo thought. Plus he was just overreacting, Amirysia probably wasn't even his mate, since he just changed his hormones were all over the place and he was just mistaken that she was his mate. Leo desperately tried to believe this, but it was hard when his mind would stray to how beautiful and silky Mia's hair looked, how it shone on the sunlight, how he just wanted to run his hands through it.....GOD DAMM IT I SAID MIA AGAIN! Leo yelled in his mind.

He sucked in a breath and slowly let it out, trying to calm himself.

"You okay baby?", Leo looked down to see some whore hanging off his arm. What was her name? Ah fuck it who cares, certainly not Leo. He chuckled to himself at the thought.

"Yeah babe" he said to her as his eyes made contact with Jacks. Jack was tired and didn't really feel like finishing school but he knew he had to, there was also a football game after and he was going to a party straight after. Walking down the hallway he turned around to see Amirysia's locker wide-open and her books on the floor covered with mud. He sighed and picked them up, feeling Leo's eyes on him. Jack sighed out loud and mumbled something about how "the pig owed him", making sure Leo could hear.

After the party, Jack, Leo and a few others guys who weren't stoned went to his house and headed to the kitchen, what could Jack say, they were growing boys- even if it was almost 1 am. It was also a full moon tonight so Jack and his friends were probably going to go out for a run soon. Half of them had already made the change once Jack had started the cycle. Leo was the most recent and that meant that he was now ready to take over the Beta position when needed to.
