Erza's POV

"I can expla-" I started, but Juvia quickly interrupted me.

"Juvia is heartbroken," She choked out, tears starting to trickle down her cheeks.

Then she ran down the hall and slammed the door to her room.

Gray's POV

I got up from lying on top of Erza and ran after Juvia, my cheeks still burning red. No matter how annoying or clingy Juvia was, she was still my guildmate. I ran down after her.

"Juvia!" I called out, "I'm sorry!" When I got to her room I could hear loud sobs. Suddenly I heard footsteps behind me. It was Erza, who must have gotten dressed as fast as the flash, wearing shorts and a baggy t-shirt.

"Juvia! It was an accident! Gray and I aren't in a relationship!" She yelled, pounding on the door.

"She's right! I just accidentally tripped and fell onto Erza who just got out of the shower!" I tried to reason through the wooden door.

"Go away! Juvia knows you're lying," Juvia choked out. I sighed in exasperation. We probably woke up the entire building by then.

"Come on, Juvia. I swear it was an accident! I'm not interested in Gray!" Erza said. I looked down and shuffled my feet, trying to conceal my disappointment. //You shouldn't be feeling disappointed right now, idiot! You have to comfort Juvia first!// I yelled at myself in my head.

Suddenly I heard the door click and it creaked open slowly. Juvia's mascara was running down her cheeks, her blue hair tangled and messy. Her eyes were puffy and red from crying.

"Gray-sama... You've betrayed Juvia too many times," Juvia slowly looked up and her eyes were dull and unfeeling. I took a step back, tense at the blank look on Juvia's face.

"Look, I'm sorry! I have no feelings for Erza at all," I lied. No response. The door slammed into my face.

Silence.

"I think we should go back. There's nothing we can do at the moment, and it's late. We can try to apologize tomorrow morning," Erza sighed. I nodded in agreement.

Gray's POV

After I took a shower and changed into some shorts and a loose shirt, I lay in bed. Erza was brushing her wet hair and I couldn't stop thinking about the... incident. Was it cruel to be somewhat glad that it happened? I know Juvia must've been shattered, but it made my heart beat so fast when I even thought about it.

"Do you mind if I join you?" Erza asked, awkwardly standing on the other side of the bed.

"Oh yeah, of course," I stammered. Erza climbed onto the mattress and pulled the white sheets over her body.

I could feel the heat coming off of her skin and my cheeks warmed up. After a few minutes I could feel her breathing even out. Gosh, am I so in love that I could forget about a broken-hearted guildmate so easily?

Suddenly Erza shifted and turned so that she was facing me. Her eyelashes gently shadowed her cheeks, and we were only centimeters away. I just wanted to kiss those soft, pink lips of hers so bad. I realized how lucky I was to be her friend. My fist clenched at the thought of Jellal. If I was Erza's boyfriend, I would spend every moment with her, telling her how beautiful she was, and kissing her every minute. I just wish they would break up.

//You're being selfish! Jellal makes Erza happy, and that's all that matters. Besides, Jellal is supposed to be your ally!// I mentally punched myself.

I stared at Erza for what seemed like hours until her breathing gently lulled me to sleep. Right before I fell though, I wrapped my arms around Erza. When I realized what I had done a few moments later, I didn't pull them away.

Happy's POV

Natsu told me to go to Erza's room to drop off some food to cook. So I carefully opened the door with my paw so I wouldn't wake up Erza or Gray. When I saw them on the bed (Cats like me have pretty good night vision if I do say so myself) I snickered and grabbed out my camera. As soon as I set down the cooking materials I silently snapped a photo of the two snuggling together on the bed. Wait 'til the guild sees this.

Erza's POV

I woke up to the scent of Gray's cologne, and I felt his arms around me. It felt so... right. Me in his arms... forever. I felt the same butterfly feeling, and my face felt warmer than usual.

//What are you thinking Erza? You can't fall in love...// But I wanted to stay next to Gray. I was filled with a burning desire that I had never felt before, not even with Jellal. Was I just groggy because I just woke up? No... Yes? I was so confused.

I clutched Gray's hand before I could resist and snuggled closer to him. A smile spread across my face. Was I accepting these feelings I had been feeling all along?

Maybe Gray could be more than a friend.

Gray's POV

Before I opened my eyes I could feel Erza pressed against me, her hands on mine. My heartbeat sped up, and I could feel hers racing too. We were so close I could feel her hot breath on my skin. I didn't want to move, but I was sure Lucy had made several plans for today, so I slowly inched away from Erza without disturbing her.

I quickly put on my typical winter jacket, after all, it was winter. I could see snow falling outside. A mile away I could see the ferris wheel and the roller coasters of five flags. Normally no one comes in the winter, but Lucy said that there was a large fireplace where you could roast marshmallows, and that a few inches of snow shouldn't stop anyone from having fun.

I made my way to the kitchen and noticed some raw bacon and a carton of eggs with milk on the counter. Someone must have dropped them off while we were asleep. Which means they must have seen us together on the bed.

Crap.

Well, nothing I can do now. And I wouldn't really mind if the guild thought Erza and I were a couple. Besides Juvia. I sighed and made a mental note to apologize to Juvia.

Soon the smell of bacon and eggs filled the room and I heard Erza stir in the bed. I watched her sit up, red hair cascading down her back. She looked almost angelic. Erza yawned stood up. I was mesmerized by every movement she made, from the perfect way her eyelashes fell when she closed her eyes, to the way she gently combed her hair with her fingers. Suddenly she widened her eyes when she saw me.

"Gray, the bacon!"

Only then did I smell the vile smell of burnt bacon.

Chapter End.
