"Kya hua bahu, pareshan dikh rahi ho", asked bhabhima

"Kuch nahi", Akshara lied

"Jhut kyun bol rahi hai aap maa, main ne  bhi notice kiya apka behaviour.", said Naksh

"It is nothing", repied Akshara stealing eyes from her son.

"Mumma, give it to her", Karthik said while entering the hall confusing everyone 

"Tumhe kaise...", Akshara asked surprised

"Tomorrow is makar sankranti and I know you must have got something for her, give it to her mumma", Karthik told Akshara

"Tum dedoge", she asked hesitantly

"Nahi, iss baar nahi, mujhe lagta hai iss baar apko apna liya hua tofa apne hathon se dena chaiye. Naira should know how much you care for her. And pichli baar jo", said Karthik

"But Karthik it was decided that I be a bit away from Naira and because of that only Naira has adjusted here well again and I would never forgive my self if god forbid something happens to my grand kids because of me forcing my selfishness I will never forgive myself", said Akshara denying Karthik.

"Maa we had decided that earlier because we wanted to give Naira time to settle, but now that is not needed. If you keep on running away from her, you can't expect her to come close to you.", said Karthik

"Maa he is right Naira should know how much she means to you", said Naksh agreeing with Karthik. Slowly everyone made Akshara agree.

"Naira di kal makar sankranti hai app kya pehnoge", asked Mishti when everyone was gathered for tea.

"Taayiji mere liye yeh green salwar suit le ayi. It is so pretty", said Mishti showing her a box.

"It is very nice. My Mishtu is going to look like an angel", said Naira kissing her cousins cheek

"Mami ne bhi mujhe ek yellow lehenga gift kiya, bahut pyarra sa.", said Gayu

"Tum batao tum kya pehn rahi ho", asked Karishma

"Woh ...", she was about to say something but was interrupted

"Meri beti yeh pehnegi", said Akshara keeping a box in front of Naira on the table

"Isski koyi zarrorat nahi hai", said Naira

"Mat lo (pause) maa kal ayegi aur dekhegi ke tum ne yeh dress nahi phena toh unhe bahut bura lagega (pause looking at Naira's expressions). Haan maa aur mumma ne saath mein shopping ki thi", lied Karthik

"Mein yehi dress phenungi apni maa ke liye", said Naira

Akshara mouthed a thank you to Karthik when Naira wasn't looking at their direction.

Karthik entered the room to see Naira jumping and squealing in happiness. Karthik rushed to her. "Kar kya rahi ho. Are you forgetting about our little Shernis (Naira glares) or little mendaks that you have inside you.", he said sounding mad.

"Apni pregnant biwi par koyi aise ghussa hota hai. Mein kitni excited thi ke kal makar sankranti hai, tum ne sarra mood spoil kardiya", she said pouting

"I am sorry Jaan. Lekin tum bhi toh socho, see how you were jumping that is why I panicked. Am sorry baby I shouldn't have shouted at you like that. I was worried", Karthik said holding his ears.
