"Don't embarrass yourself on the first day,don't embarrass yourself on the first day." My brain kept telling me.
I turn off the ignition and sit in the car for 5 minutes calming my self down and looking at all the people walking in. I finally take a deep breath and walk out the car with confidence even tho on the inside I'm a scared little bean. I see so many people hugging each other,high fiving each other,laughing with each other everyone knows everyone except me.
I make my way through the crowded halls and finally get to the office.
"Hi I'm Emma...Emma grey and I'm new here." I was so nervous while speaking to the office lady I have no idea why. "Oh yep here you are in the computer so today's your first day right?" I nodded my head and then she continued. "Okay well here's your schedule and the number on the piece of paper is your locker number and the locker code."
"Okay thank you." I said while walking out the office.
I start to walk around the school looking for my Locker then I finally found it. I looked at the code and kept trying to unlock it but it wouldn't open so of course I kept hitting the locker and banging on it so it would open until I hear a sweet soft voice.
"Are you having trouble?" The girl said while pointing at the locker.
"Yea it's my first day and I'm probably humiliating myself trying to open this stupid locker."
"Don't worry I had the same problem when i first got to this school. By the way my name is Hannah....hannah baker." She reached out her hand for a handshake.
I grabbed her hand and told her my name. "I'm Emma grey."
"Your that girl." She widened her eyes and smiled.
"Wha- what girl?" I said with confusion. Hannah giggled a little.
"Sorry if I sounded a little creepy but I meant that I saw that picture of you on instagram."
"Oh your the girl that called me pretty."
"Yes,yes I am your welcome."
"Thank you and your really pretty too I love your hair."
"Thanks anyways do you need help with the locker?"
"Yes please."
I looked at my schedule while she helped with opening the locker.
"Thank you so much Hannah." "Your welcome. So what class do you have first?"
"Communication class do you know where that is?"
"Oh wow that's where I go first lets walk in together."
Hannah led me to the communication class and I was so nervous my first class of the day and what if everybody thinks I'm ugly or weird looking.
The teacher had a nice warm welcoming smile on her face. Hannah sat down and the teacher had her hand on my back.
"Class we have a new student her name is Emma."
She patted my back and told me to sit by this boy with a jacket that has a tiger on the right side and says liberty high. I just walk towards my seat and it's a table full of boys.....great. I act like I'm not paying attention but they just keep staring especially this one guy that i was sitting next to.
A couple hours go by and classes and yes finally time for lunch I'm so hungry. I go to the cafeteria and get my food now the worst part is being the new girl and not knowing where to sit.
