She was running trough an alley way. She didn't know who she was running away from. She just knew, that they were dangerous. And they had a gun.
Why didn't she listen when the lecturers were teaching what to do in such situation? She really was stupid.
Her footsteps splashed over the wet concrete. Even though she was running very noisy she could hear the footsteps of the other person behind her. It didn't seem like she was losing them. The alley way was lonely and it was night. Of course no one would hear her scream or yell or shout. But she could see lights. If she would make it around the corner that was about 50 meters away then there would be a street. Someone would see her. Someone would save her.
Sweat was forming on her forehead. Her breathing was uncontrolled. She had to be careful not to hyperventilate.
Then suddenly a gunshot was heard. An unbearable pain shot through her left thigh. She got shot in her thigh!
She could still make it. She limped another few meters further to the corner. She was nearly there. Just a little further...
The footsteps got louder.
Oh no.
"Now you will pay for what you did, officer."
As she turned around a second gunshot was heard.
