4:44 pm

This day was exhausting. It was a week after Stacey got out of hospital. So much paperwork. So much writing. At least all four of them survived. Maybe even all the other officers, but they weren't as lazy as Selma. She hated paperwork. At last the day was over.

She took her headphones and her coat and stuffed the remaining stuff into her bag. Stacey still had her coffee and Daniel three more sheets to fill out. So James accompanied Selma. They both went to the elevator. When the elevator came and they stepped in Stacey just shouted "Have fun, lovebirds!", then Selma and James just heard giggles.

Selma blushed, because first: Stacey called them lovebirds, and second: because she was alone with James. She could feel his eyes watching her, but she didn't turn to face him. When is this stupid elevator arriving?

She could suddenly feel breathing on her neck. Startled by James she backed up at the wall of the elevator.

"Your hair smells sweet. Like cotton candy."

"Uh... t-thank you... Uhm..."

James stepped closer. He stared deeply into her chocolate brown eyes.

Can he see, that I'm blushing? Probably, I get red too easily.

She thought to herself. If she would have been a snowman, she wouldn't just have melted already, she would be boiling at 1.000.000 degrees (even though this is physically impossible).

He placed one hand next to her head and lifted the other one to her chin, tilting it upwards.

He got closer... and closer...

And then he kissed Selma softly, twirling a lock of her hair around his finger.

Selma wished for this moment to never end. And then the elevator made a *bing* as it arrived.
Great. Just great.

James broke the kiss and whispered in Selma's ear: "This will stay our little secret"

The elevator doors opened and James stepped out of the elevator, walking towards the exit of the building.

"I will see you tomorrow." He waved a goodbye and then turned around, opening the door.

"Uh... y-yeah... See ya... tomorrow... Heheheh.... heh... see ya..."

In the motion of waving she forgot to leave the elevator, so the doors closed and it went back up to her office.
