"What the...?" Why did Selma just hang up? She wouldn't just do that if she had something important to tell Stacey. Maybe it was something about the case.

Stacey was already sitting in her car and on the way home. But after this weird phone call she got from Selma she decided to drive back to the police station and check, if she was able to locate her phone. Just in case.

She knew the boys were still at the police station, finishing some paperwork. If she was fast enough she would be able to catch them at the entrance of the building before they left.

Even though it wasn't allowed, Stacey turned around from one lane to another and drove full speed back work.

While she was driving a million thoughts were running through her head at the same time.

What happened to Selma? What did she try to tell Stacey? Why did she let out a yelp before she hung up? Did she get kidnapped? If yes, who kidnapped her? How is she going to find her? Is she hurt? Will she get hurt if Stacey isn't fast enough to find her?

She parked her car in front of the police station, jumped out of the car, locked it and ran back through the door. The elevator took too long, so she decided to take the stairs. But as she placed a foot on the staircase she saw the elevator arrive and two young men stepping out of it. With no hesitation she jumped back down the stairs she had already climbed, ran over to the Elevator and pushed the two men back inside. Just then the doors closed.

"What the hell!? Stacey!? What are you doing?" Both of them yelled at her.

"I am really sorry to not let you go into the weekend just yet, guys, but I have an emergency! See, I was on the way home as I got a phone call from Selma. She probably wanted to tell me something important about the case, but that's irrelevant. The thing is i just heard a yelp of pain, then footsteps and then she, or someone else, hung up.", Stacey explained. She wasn't even a little bit tired. The adrenaline was enough to make her whole body shake nervously and uncontrollably.

"WHAT??!!", both, Daniel And James, shouted.

"You think she got kidnapped?", James asked. It was barely audible, but his voice was shaking a little.

"What are we going to do?", asked Daniel.

"We should go and try locating her phone first." The three of them ran back into the office. It was already quite empty except for a few officers who were working the nightshift.

Daniel, James and Stacey quickly sat at Daniel's table. He was already typing something in his computer.

"Okay. I have the location of her phone. James, you'll stay here and wait until we're back. Stacey and I will see if we can find Selma."

"Why can't I come with you?", James complained, but Daniel had already grabbed Stacey's hand and rushed out the door.

7:15 pm

"Okay, her phone should be somewhere around here...", Daniel mumbled, while he was driving onto the parking lot of a McDonalds.

"I see something there", Stacey pointed out the window, at something sparkly lying on the sidewalk. Daniel stopped the car and Stacey got out to get whatever it was. Then she ran back to Daniel.

"And? What is it? Is it her phone? Or anything that could help us find Selma?" He asked, turning the steering wheel around and driving back to the police station.

Stacey didn't answer. She just looked at the small little rectangle she held in her hand. It was an iPhone. The display was cracked.

"T-that's Selma's phone.", Stacey whispered. Her voice was trembling. Tears were falling in her lap.

"Stacey, don't worry. We'll find her." Daniel placed a hand on her back for support. He drew small circles with his thumb on the soft cotton fabric.

"And how?! We don't have any idea who might have kidnapped her if she actually got kidnapped! And if we would, how are we going to find their location?!" Stacey turned her head looking at Daniel. Her eyes were puffy, her cheeks were red and wet because of the tears.

"Hey. We are going to find her. I promise.", Daniel said with a soothing voice. He Lifted his hand to her cheek and wiped away her tears.

"Let's call James and Tell him, we are coming back to the police station, okay?"

"Okay?"
