The butlers went to patch him up. I waited in the cafeteria. I just didn't know what to do with myself. I drank coffee. One cup after another. That was the only thing I could do until they helped Rihito. The girls were also sitting by their tables. Nobody said anything. Then a butler came telling me that they were done. They already transported him to my dorm. They also told me that he still wanted to duel and gave me a dress. I rushed to my dorm. That time was the only time that I could use the helicopter and fly alone. When I got ther I saw Rihito. Shirtless and bandaged. I suddenly started crying.
"Rihito!" I said as I hugged him softly "You can't do it. You can't duel! Not in this condition."
He stroked my hair.
"Amaya-sama, I have to." he said and I looked at his face.
It was full of pain. Even though they gave him painkillers it hurt. That's normal. I kissed him softly.
"I really want to keep you with me." I cried "But I'm afraid that if you go you'll only get hurt more."
Rihito hugged me a little tighter and then let go.
"I need to dress up for the duel." he said and stroked my hair one last time.
I put the dress that I was given on. I patiently waited for Rihito. We still had time left. I went into his room. He was sitting and tried to stand up hastily when I came in but that only resulted in him grunting and sitting back down.
"Rihito..." I cried softly "If you really want to duel then you have to listen to me now. Lie down." I said.
He resisted so I pushed him down as carefully as I could. I stroked his hair and wiped off the sweat from his forehead. Just looking at him made me cry. He wiped my tears every now and then between my sudden outbursts. After half an hour we had to go. I helped him sit down. Then he said that he can stand up by himself. He just moved to my main room like a robot not showing the pain. I went to stand before him.
"Then let's go." he said.
"There's one thing you must promise.." I whispered while hugging him.
"What is it, Amaya-sama?" he asked.
"Please stay with me. From now and forever." I said as my tears wetted his suit.
He hugged me back and stroked my hair.
"Amaya-sama. Please believe in me. If you believe in me, I will live up to your trust." ha said.
I looked up at him. I looked in his eyes while tears still poured out of mine. Then I kissed him. Deeply. When we stopped I looked into his eyes again.
"Then this was your lucky charm. I believe in you." I said and then we left together with the rest of my classmates.
While we were in the helicopter I stroked his hand the whole time. Afraid that if I let go I would lose him. My heart almost stopped when he had to enter the cage. I knew Shinobu was strong. The principal signaled the duel to begin. Rihito attacked first but his sword fell out of his hand. He immediately picked it up. Then Shinobu started attacking as well. In one move he cut Rihito's arm open. I gasped. Then Rihito fought back. When they were standing face to face Shinobu suddenly grabbed his hand and kicked him in his stomach. Precisely in the place were he was shot. Then elbowed him in the back. Rihito just fell on the ground.
"Do your best, Rihito..." I said and he stood up.
Rihito was mostly getting injured. He did his best but Shinobu played false and was stronger at the moment. Lucia suddenly came up to me.
"If this keeps on, Rihito-sama will die." she said "If you and your classmates don't want to drop out, then I can drop that condition." she proposed "As long as you give up Rihito-sama."
"I won't give up!" I yelled and everyone's eyes were on me "He will not lose. Because we made a promise."
"Don't be foolish! He can't win in such a situation. It doesn't matter how much you trust him, as this match-"
"When I had a duel with Rika this was what your butler said to me. 'A butler can't bring out his true strength if he's not believed in.'." I turned to face her.
"So what?" she asked nonchalantly.
"You actually don't believe in your own butler, right?" I asked "That's why you told Tami to attack Rihito. Otherwise you would be unsure if you would win or lose. Lucia-sama. You hurt the most important person to you, all for your own personal gain."I turned back to watch the fight "I won't lose to you.I definitelt won't give Shibata Rihito to you. He... is my butler."
"He belongs to me." she said frustrated "Shinobu. Take care of Rihito-sama. No matter what condition he will be in. Hurry up and make him mine!"
She said and went to stay right beside me. Also clenching the cage's rails.
"Certainly." he replied.
Then he kicked Rihito in the stomach. Rihito just fell on the ground clenching his wound. Then Lucia pushed me to the ground. I lay just beside Rihito but the cage held us apart.
"You too. Anyone who dares to defy me will be punished." she said and took out a small knife from her dress.
At the same time she attacked me, Shinobu attacked Rihito. I closed my eyes waiting for the knife to hurt me. But again the pain never came. When I opened my eyes I saw Rihito holding his word by Lucia's neck while he was kneeling down. I looked at him more carefully and saw that Shinobu hurt him with his sword.
"Please... Don't hurt Amaya-sama!" he yelled "She's the one I serve... My most important lady!"
At that Lucia lost strength in her feet and sat beside me on the ground. I went closer to the cage and looked at Rihito. I looked into his eyes.
"Win. Rihito." I pleaded.
"Certainly." he answered.
After that he suddenly got stronger. He stood up and fought Shinobu as if he were a mere ant. Finally Shinobu's sword fell out his hands and Rihito's was above his head. Shinobu was now on his knees defenceless.
"Come on. Don't be shy."Shinobu said.
"Acknowledge your defeat." Rihito said breating hard.
"Everything is for Lucia-sama." he said as he laughed softly.
"Enough." Lucia said "I lose."
