right in front of her

There was no one in sight. She remembered the dusty building, and managed to walk to the second floor without running away. This was where Pitch had brought her last time. This was where she had been introduced to the nightmare sand. Nothing had changed, it still gave her the shivers, and it was still cold. Only this time there was no one there. Silence was her only companion now.

Had she screwed up? Had Sunny screwed up? Maybe there was no kidnapping, maybe her brother was alright. Maybe-

Cher's fingers trembled as she walked around, and recognized a passed out person. Chase.

He was here. He was right in front of her.

"Chase?" she whispers, her voice trembles, as her fingers wrap around the cold, metal cage.

Cher knew he was still alive, he was breathing- she could see his chest slowly moving up and down. But the rage that was building up in her was still there.

"Chase?" she whispers once more, slowly nudging her brother awake.

"Cher?" he manages to get out, still half-asleep, or half-unconscious. "What- you shouldn't be here."

"I'm here to get you out." Cher says, going through her pockets.

She had a pin somewhere, she knew she had one.

"No, I mean, Jack brought me to the Guardians-" Chase starts off, slowly getting up.

"You went where? And you know Jack?" Cher says, stopping. "What the hell is going on?"

Chase gives her a small smile, "it's a long story, but that's not the point-"

"He's right dear, that's not," a familiar cold, voice rings through the room.

Cher's body just freezes.
