*Zia's Point of View*
All of this was stupid. The walking long distances at one sitting, trusting a royal I don't know to read the only map, even just being around the other royals. All stupid. Sometimes I wondered if I am the only sane one here.
Asher, that cursed boy, was always on his high horse.
'Go left Zia. '
'Let's take a break Zia'
'You are going the wrong way princess'
As if he suddenly is responsible of all of our actions. As if in this group of four of us he is King.
Every moment from sunrise to sunset he had something to say. Then there was Xander. Prince of Xylot. He was a shady one. From the way he looked and the way he talked, which was rarely, he had a vindictive aroma around him. As if he was waiting for a down fall of someone or something.
But Tezara. If I could tolerate someone it would be her. But that was only if she didn't speak. Everything was a new, breath taking, sight to her.
'Aren't these tree just beautiful? '
'I never seen a flower so bright.'
'Oh how wonderful the birds are.'
Every. Single. Thing.
See, at the moment we were all sitting on the cold hard ground. It has been roughly five days since we first gathered together, and I learned an understanding of how these people acted. I never longed to be back home this much in my life. The walking was intense, walking long distances in a day. To add on to the soreness, we were all hungry. Asher knows how to build fires and Tezara knows how to pick the fruits safe to eat. All we were working with were fruits and berries. That's all we had and we were sick of it. No matter how much we would hate to admit it, we were lost without our throne and ours with no servants cooking for us, planning our day for us. Our home and our life was completely at Court, and this decision to leave it might have been foolish and careless.
"Do we even know where we are going? How do you know that we aren't lost in the middle of the woods? "Xander questioned from the stump of tree.
"Xander. Just trust me. I've read a few maps back home." Asher responded, annoyance lacing his voice. Every few hours Xander would question Asher's intelligence, but it seemed like Xander just didn't trust Asher's judgment. Which is understandable because as of right now I don't trust anyone's judgment. I just learned to keep quiet.
"Like hell I am." He whispered while walking off in the woods. He acts so dramatically. It isn't anything I'm not used too, my parents always did this type of thing. But coming from him, a young adult nonetheless, it was getting a bit pathetic.
Looking up, I could see the sun getting ready to set. Thus meaning we should start getting ready to settle for the day.
"Asher." I called out. Catching him by surprise because I, just like Xander, rarely spoke.
"Zia right?" He started making his way towards me, but as he came closer the look on my face began to change. I didn't want him coming any closer, and I guess he understood because he seemed to stop and just face me.
"We should get ready to find somewhere to rest. It's going to get dark in short matter of time." He agreed and as time went along and as we tried to choose a good place to where we could adjust to the environment we failed to notice something.
"Where is Xander?" Tezara questioned with a worried voice.
"He is most likely still calming down." Asher said his back towards us.
