A scream built up in my throat as I watched my dad plummet towards the ground.

I heard a huge bang and I saw my dad spread out across the pavement.

The tears streamed down my face faster and bigger.

I had lost my family in one night.

I blindly ran through the halls to find the exit, I heard Ash following me, but I didn't care.

I finally saw the signs showing the way to the exit.

I sprinted out of the door, and I saw my dad on the floor, blood everywhere and his body was all disfigured, and his eyes were wide open staring at my soul.

"Dad!" I screamed and ran towards him.

But I felt someone's arms snake around my waist holding me captive in their arms.

"Nooo," I shrieked.

Ash held me with one arm while he got his phone out with the other.

I heard him talking to someone on the other end of the line, but I couldn't hear a word that he was saying.

I saw some people run out of the hospital due to my hysterics and a crowd was gathering.

I was screaming and thrashing in Ash's arms, I had to see my dad.

I couldn't lose them both in one night.

I saw the blue and red police lights show up.

They ran over to the scene and got the crowd to go.

I heard Ash talking to people but I couldn't hear a word anyone was saying.

I felt something being jabbed into my neck, and I felt a liquid being pushed into my veins.

"I'm sorry," I heard Ash whisper as everything went black.

••••••••

I woke up and I looked at the white ceiling and got a serious case of déjà vu.

I felt someone holding my hand.

"Ash?" I asked.

He looked at me with care.

"I had the weirdest dream, my mum died due to her cancer and my dad jumped off the building, it was terrible," I admitted to him.

He looked at me, and then hung his head low.

"It was a dream, right?" I asked him.

"Princess-" he started.

"Is it real or not?!" I demanded raising my voice on the edge of hysterics, like in the dream.

"I'm sorry, but it wasn't a dream," he told me, and I chocked on my cries.

He picked me off the bed and held me in his arms as I cried my heart out.

"Can I go home?" I asked him.

He nodded slowly, "I think we can go over to yours to collect you things, then you are moving into the pack house," Ash told me and I nodded.

A nurse entered the room.

"Oh good, your awake, can you please leave now? We need this bed for patients," the nurse told me, I nodded and I got up and left the room. Who pissed in her tea?

Ash took my hand and led me through a maze of halls.

I felt empty inside, I had lost the two most important people to me in life, the bracelet around my wrist reminded me of them.

We exited out of the hospital. I looked at the area where my dad fell.

There was a massive blood stain on the floor, it looked like they had tried to clean it up but failed.

The tears started falling down my face.

Ash squeezed my hand sympathetically.

He smiled weakly at me and we got into the car.

My whole family was dead.

Ash started up the car and headed to my house.

We spent the drive in silence, Ash sung to a few of the songs on the radio and I just looked out of the windshield, with the tears falling down my face.

I looked at the door of my house, and I sighed as I got out of the car, Ash entwined his hands with mine as we walked to the door.

I unlocked the door, and instantly regretted bringing Ash in here, he hadn't ever seen my house before, the furthest he had gone was the hallway.

I walked into the lounge and then realised that this was the most stupid idea I had ever had.

My mum and I's blood, sweat and tears covered the walls.

We mostly tried to clean it up, but we hadn't had time to clean up most of it.

Ash hissed as he saw the blood and my dads collection of knives that had dried up blood on them.

"Let's get out of this room," I told him, and pushed him towards the door.

He stayed still and didn't move.

A picture and envelope caught my eye.

I walked over to it, while Ash stood in the doorway taking in the room.

I went over to the picture and I looked at it, the tears forming in my eyes.

It was a picture from when my parents were younger, my mum and dad were smiling, and my dad had his arm around my mums waist and they were carrying a baby in their arms.

It was me, I realised.

I picked up the envelope, wait.

There were two.

They were both addressed to me.

I opened up the envelope.

Dear my darling Alisha.
