A Love to Last

The next morning, I wake up early enough to get  ready.. I look through my closet for something decent to wear, maybe I can make a nice outfit.

'Hmm? A gray sweater maybe nice?' pero nabigla ako sa pagkatok ng pintuan sa kwarto ko 

"Rox, nandyan kaba sa loob?"

"Uh..oo!  Sandali lang" at pinagbuksan ko siya

"What's up? May lakad kaba mamaya?"

"Oo."

"Bakit parang naghahanda ka sa isang date?"

"It's not a date. Magkikita lang kami ni Vincent to talk some things"

"Some things?"

"Yeah, He owe me an apology.. I wanted to look nice"

"Oh..So, basically it's a date"

"It's not, Nathan"

"Okay, Good luck!"  at lumabas nalang ito *sigh*

I arrive at the café ahead of time. So, I sit down at the table outside.

Minutes after, I hear some footsteps so, I turn around and cleared my throat

"Hey...uh..how are you?"

"Excuse me?" pero nabigla ako dahil hindi si Vincent ang nasa harap ko ngayon kundi isang estranghero 

"Sorry..Akala ko -------"

"Roxanne!" Nakita ko si Vincent na papalapit sa pwesto ko at umalis na yung lalake

"Vincent!"

"Sorry na late ako. Pasok na tayo"

Pumasok na kami sa café at pinaghila ng upuan. 'Well, this seems like a date......for not a date'

"You look nice today"

"Thank you!"

 "May I ask you something?"

"Yea, go ahead"

 "Why did you invite me here?"

For a moment, He looks surprised and takes a deep breath

"I owe you an apology. Yesterday was pretty awful and I got out of hand and it was all my fault and I mistreated you"

Hindi ko inaasahan na makikita ko ang humble side but he seems eager to get the words out..

"I've been thinking about what happened yesterday and I  was impressed"

"What?" 

"I was impressed"

"Akala ko ma se sesante na ako"

"I underestimated you..Akala ko na makakabuti sa iyo to have fewer responsibilities and obligations and I was wrong"

"Hindi ko alam ang sasabhin ko"

"You don't have to say aything" he said that as he try to reach my hand

"I just..... I didn't expect to hear that from you and maybe I just misjudge you"

"Okay... so, I guess we're good?"

"Yeah, we're good" at kinuha ko ang kamay ko

"Sorry... Anyway, just order anything on the menu. My treat" and he smiles genuinely. I thought he was plain, strict and mean but he's a mystery.. 

"Okay, uh.. I'm ordering pancakes and by the way, I forgive you" 

"Sounds great to me" and he grins 

Maya maya pa ay dumating na ang order namin and we ate together talking some stuffs. What I'm feeling right now is normal yet so wonderful. I feel happy just by being together. 

Nathan's POV

Saan kaya sila pumunta ni Vincent? Are they having fun? *sigh* 

Pauwi na sana ako ng makita ko si Rox sa isang café. Masayang masaya ito habang kausap ang isang lalaki. Kung hindi ba ako namatay, mapapasaya ko kaya siya sa piling ko? Kung  hindi ba ako namatay, magiging kami ba? Ang dami kong tanong pero hindi kong magawang tanungin si Roxanne. Ever since I came back, we haven't talked about it.  Hindi ko alam kung may nararamdaman ba siya sa akin o wala.

ROXANNE'S POV

"Thank you Vincent" 

"I should be the one thanking you Roxanne, for giving me chance"

I just smiled from what he said "Mauna na ako"  then, we parted our ways....

"Roxanne, I need you to edit these pages in 2 hours."

"Yeah, I've got it"

"Okay, I'm counting on you"

Ever we our argue, He's been nice to me lately...well, most of the time.

"Rox, pwede ka ng umuwi."

"Huh?"

"I said you can go home" 

"Oh" I didn't realized what time is it, maybe because I'm really into this "Okay, goodbye Vince"

Every night, Nathan asked me if there's a response from the e mail..it's pretty annoying actually.

"What about tonight?"

"It's been weeks"

"Come on"

"Okay! just shut up" I turned on my laptop 

"Check your inbox"

"Alam ko"

"She replied"

"Anong sabi niya?"

"Ang sabi niya, she wants to meet me. This Sunday for coffee"

"Okay, sabihin mo sa kanya pupunta ka"

"Hmmm~  Looks like you're excited?"

"Yeah, gusto kong malaman kung kamusta siya"

"Pwede ka ng lumabas"

"Huh?"

"Tapos ko ng i check ang e mail ko. Baka pwede namag magpahinga na ako?"

"Oh! Right! Goood night Rox" at umalis na ito. Hindi ko alam ang naramdaman ko....a part of me just wished na dapat hindi nalang siya na reply. pero parang excited si Nathan na makita siya.

Hindi ko rin alam kung hanggang kailan pwedeng mag stay si Nthan dito sa mundo, He's obviously here for a reason.. and I don't know why....
