Hi! This is my first time writing on wattpad :) So, I'm sorry if there are any gramatical errors or anything.

I hope you like it! :)

I was tapping my pen impatiently on my desk while listening to Ms. Anderson drone on and on about history no one cares about. When is this class going to end? It's been forever!

Tap. Tap. Tap.

I wonder what I have for lunch..

Tap. Tap. Tap.

I look at the clock. Yes! Only a few more minutes..

Tap. Tap. Ta--

RIIIINNGGGGGGG! Finally! Lunch time!

I grab my things before hastily making my way out of the classroom. I was passing by my locker to get my lunch when I saw Marcus standing there, waiting for me as usual. Ah, Marcus. How do I describe Marcus Harris? Marcus, my best friend since diapers, my confidant, my shoulder to lean on, and my future husband and future father of my children. He just doesn't know it yet.

I have been hopelessly in love with Marcus for the past 17 years of my existence. Okay, I'm exaggerating. I think I realized this 2 years ago. But how could I not fall for him? With his light brown hair and sparkling blue eyes.. not to mention his sweet and caring personality. Since then, I've kept my feelings to myself, not showing any signs of my feelings to him. It might just ruin our friendship and make things awkward. But I do plan to tell him before we graduate high school.

"Hey, Monnie!" Marcus greeted. Swoon. Only he calls me Monnie. Everyone else just calls me Monica.

"Hi Marc. What's up?" I said back while we headed for the cafeteria.

"Oh, nothing. Same boring classes, same boring teachers..blah blah blah." He grinned at me. I could just melt right there. Seriously. We reached the cafeteria and I immediately went to our usual table while Marcus went in line to buy food.

I will never buy food from the cafeteria again. It's disgusting. I've learned my lesson and started bringing my own packed lunch. I bring out my lunch..yum. It's lasagna. I start eating when a separate tray ploped down next to me.

"Hey Anna Banana." I greeted my other friend, Anna.

"Stop calling me that." She grunted in response. Anna was a tall girl with black hair and brown eyes. She is my other best friend, aside from Marcus. We met in 2nd grade when she was the new girl and my seat mate. Since then, Anna, Marcus and I have been inseperable. Plus, Anna Palmer is the only one, aside from me, who knows about my love for Marcus. I spilled the beans to her last year when I couldn't hold it in anymore and I had to tell someone.

By now, Marcus was back from the line and was seated across from me.

"BABY, IT'S BEEN SO LONG!!!" An annoying voice screeched. Long? It's been what? 3 hours? A petite blond with gray eyes jumped on the lap of Marcus. They started smooching and I had to look away. Oh, I forgot to mention that tiny detail. Marcus has a girlfriend. I looked at the corner of my eye and saw Anna giving me a sympathetic glance. She mouthed 'Are you ok?' to me. I mouthed back 'I'm fine'. I guess that it's the truth. They've been dating for 2 months now. A girl can get used to it..

After they finally separated, she acknowledged the rest of us.

"Hey Anna! Hey Monica!" She chirped.

"Hi Tina" We muttered in unison. I hate Tina with a burning passion. Scratch that. I couldn't be that mean. Apart from her annoying screechy voice, Tina was actually a nice girl. So, I couldn't hate her. I guess I just hated the fact that she was with Marcus.

"Hey Squirt." A new voice said behind me. I knew that voice anywhere. Only one person would call me squirt. I sighed and turned around.

"What do you want, Aaron?" I asked, looking into the green eyes of my twin brother. "And stop calling me squirt."

"You're my little sister. Therefore, I shall call you squirt" He replied while ruffling my long brown hair, the same shade as his hair.

"Little? I'm only younger than you by ten minutes!"

"Exactly. I've been on this earth for exactly ten whole minutes more than you have. I have a right to call you squirt."

"Whatever. What do you want?"

"What? I am offended! Can't I just come over here to say 'hi' to my sweet, darling little sister?" He said, mocking hurt while clutching at his chest.

"Not without an ulterior motive." I said back. Knowing my brother he didn't come here to just say 'hi'. He could do that whenever he wanted at home.

"Just get on with it, man. I'm hungry." Said a different voice. It was then that I noticed another figure behind my brother.

"Oh, hey Brandon." I greeted, smiling up at him. Brandon was my brothers best friend. He was practically family to me. Although, I never understood how they became friends. They were the complete opposite of each other. Brandon stood at 6 feet with curly blond hair and eyes that seemed to change color depending on what he wore. Today he wore a green polo, making his eyes seem green as well. I guess they both bonded over their common love: Soccer.

"'Sup, Monabon?" He nodded back. I don't get why he calls me Monabon. It sounds like something you would eat. Marcus and him are the only ones with a 'special' nickname for me. Oh well, I don't mind.

"Anyways, why are you here?" I asked my brother, going back to the topic.

"I need some cash to buy lunch." He replied.

I raised my eyebrow at him. "What happened to yours?"

"I left my wallet at home."

I sighed. Brothers.

"Fine, you owe me. Now go away. I see enough of you at home." I said as I gave him some money.

"Thanks, sis." He said as he pecked my cheek. Ew. He knows how I hate that. I rubbed my cheek as if that will help remove the contamination.

Once Aaron and Brandon left to their own table, Anna blurted: "I've said it before and I'll say it again. Dayuuum. Your brother is fine!"

"Ew, Anna! Mental images!" I said while covering my ears.

Anna just laughed at me. "What? It's true.."

"Please don't elaborate" I begged.

"Fine..Brandon is hot too. Did you see his eyes today? Green is my favorite color." She said.

"Gross! He's like another brother to me!" I said while fake gagging.

"Okay, Anna. I think you've given enough bad mental images to last Monnie a lifetime." Marcus said while chuckling.

"Fine, I'll stop. But one of you has to agree with me. Tina?" Anna asked.

"They are hot. But not as hot as my Marcus over here." Tine cooed. I could not agree more with her.

Or maybe I'm a little biased.
