"To where are we moving now?" Manik asked for umpteenth time and he was ignored again. "Come on guys, I am asking you" his temper was getting a hold of him. As he started to accept the truth about him, he was getting used to his unexpected outburst of anger. Abhi had said that he was very short-tempered.
"You'll have to wait and see it Manik" Nandini replied with a sigh.
They had decided to move keeping in mind the last days attack on Abhi. Abhi was still in dark about what happened to him. He tried to force himself to remember but that only worsened his condition, so they let it be; letting him remember it taking his time.
"Someone is getting angry" Abhi mocked Manik who threw a shoe at him.
Manik and Abhi was getting back to the way they were before Manik lost his memories, not that he knew but Nandini was happy nonetheless. She couldn't shake the feeling of sadness that consumed her when she see him and him not remembering about their story. Who was she kidding? She was broken inside and she would give anything to have him remember how his life was before, so she doesn't have to be careful around him. She was never careful around him. She could've said the stupidest thing and he would've just laughed it off calling her silly while planting a kiss on her nose. And now? Now she didn't know what to do. Yes, he was the same Manik, but being not able to remember his past was taking a toll on him and that made him more snappy.
"I am going to the kitchen, there are a lot of things to be packed there" Abhi moved out of the room fixing his headphone in his ear.
"Where are you lost?" Nandini was brought out of her trance when Manik lightly bumped on her shoulders. One look at his face and she knew that he knew she was thinking about their relationship.
"Nothing. Just..." She trailled off hearing him sigh. Was she being too desperate or needy? She couldn't stop her thoughts from going crazy. She might be a vampire but she loved like everyone else, maybe a little more than everyone else.
"I know." He laced his fingers through hers and held on to it tight. "I don't think apologies will work anymore" he chuckled humorouslessly. "But I owe you a ton of apologies." He placed a finger on her lips when she started to say something. "I know you are going to say that it's not my fault. But you can't deny the fact that am trying more to fix my relation with Abhi than with you. And I I owe you an apology for that." He rubbed his thumb over her lips and she could only close her eyes and lean into his touch more.
Nandini's POV:
He don't have to apologize. I forgave him long ago, not that I was angry with him to start with. And why am I not able to focus on what he is saying? Oh yeah, his thumb on my lips. It's been so long since he touched me like this.
No one's POV:
Her closed eyes and the deep sigh that left her mouth was all Manik needed to press his lips on hers delicately. It surely have been a long time since they kissed.
What started as a delicate, soft kiss clarifying themselves that they would always be there with each other; for each other, turned into a heated light make out session, as her hands found it's way into his hair, pulling and twirling and his hand wrapped around her waist, that creeped into her shirt, caressing her skin.
She moaned into his mouth, making him grip her bit more tightly. His hands wandering on her skin, leaving a fire in its wake. Nandini placed one of her hand on his chest and tried to fumble with a button to feel his skin.
Manik broke the kiss panting, eyes still closed, just as she tore two buttons of his shirt.
She captured his lips into another searing kiss as she let her hand roam his chest. His hands were not idle either. With one hand he gripped her waist and hooked the other hand under her leg and hitching it up on his waist.
Soon Nandini's back hit the wall and they didn't know how they reached there. It was like their brains stopped working as their body melted into one.
"We" he kissed her neck "have" he lightly bit her neck, making her hold onto him more "to" he shifted his attention back to her lips "focus". Even though he was saying it, he didn't show any sign of moving away. Just as his fingers fumbled with her bra hook, he froze.
Nandini opened her eyes to see what made him stop, but she was all the more confused when she saw him standing there eyes close and his hands still around her waist.
"Manik" she lightly tapped his cheeks. But he didn't move. He stood there like a statute made from ice. "Manik, what happened?" Nandini was starting to get scared. She shook him a few more times, calling out his name. All she got in return was silence.
Suddenly Manik opened his eyes and she couldn't hold back a gasp that left her lips. She knew that eyes, she could never forget those golden yellow eyes of his, no matter how much she tried, (not that she tried) and she knew he was back and it was time for some revenge.
