First day back to classes, and Hermione was ecstatic. She woke up extra early that morning, and happily skipped down to The Great Hall in the best mood she had been in for a while.
There she sat, eating her 'borrowed' apple from the Slytherin table, and drinking her black coffee with her eyes glued to the pages of her Potions book.
The witch was enjoying the complete silence that came with being at the hall before breakfast had even started. Her mood only improved however, when Theodore waltzed in, with his hair dishevelled and his Slytherin tie not completely done up, but a smile on his face nonetheless.
When she saw him heading in her direction, she quickly smoothed out her own white shirt, black skirt and robes.
"Hermione Granger, what a pleasant surprise! Do you come here often?" he joked as he slid in next to her at the Gryffindor table.
"Theodore, you look a mess," she laughed, lightly setting down her book.
"Well, I woke up extra early this morning and was too excited to face the day to worry about how I looked. "
"And why exactly, are you in such a good mood?" she asked as she adjusted his tie and smoothed out the collar of his typical white shirt.
"You'll see soon."
"Right, where is Blaise? Normally he's up by now."
"He is up by Gryffindor Tower right about now, waiting for Weaslette to walk her to breakfast."
"How sweet," Hermione exclaimed.
Slowly but surely, people were beginning to file in for breakfast, some giving Theodore a strange look as a Slytherin not sat at his house table.
"He always was one for small gestures... and Italian words that no one can understand but that's beside the point."
She couldn't help but let out a small giggle.
"You seem to be in a very good mood this morning Ms. Granger, that wouldn't have anything to do with a particular Slytherin now would it?" he questioned with a smirk.
"Not at all," she assured him.
"Said Slytherin might take that in offence."
"I sure hope he does."
"I see. Oh, Pansy, Draco! How's your morning going?" Theodore shouted out as Draco walked in.
"Shut up Nott."
"Good good, mine's going brilliantly as well thanks for asking."
Draco only glared at him as he set himself at the Slytherin table with a tired Pansy and took an apple out of the basket.
Blaise and Ginny then waltzed into the hall, Zabini with his arm around her loosely and Ginny with a face flushed crimson.
The Italian boy kissed her on the cheek before releasing her so that she could sit at the Gryffindor table, and he could join Draco at the Slytherin table.
