"Honestly, Christian," she laughed, "I have to go or I'm going to be late."

"Are you sure you can't cancel?" he groaned.

     "Quite positive actually."

"Fine," he mumbled, "Have fun on your date. I'll be here, all alone, with my books."

"I'll see you sometime this week if not later tonight," she assured him as she packed up her things.

     "Later, cupcake."

"Cupcake? What happened to peaches?" she asked humorously.

"I prefer cupcakes," he shrugged. His nose twitched and he rubbed at it reflexively, she'd noticed that he had been doing that a lot recently.

"Are you catching a cold?"

"Nah, just itchy."

"Okay, okay, goodbye," she called as she hurried out of the library.

"See ya."

"He is so adorable," she scoffed to herself.

Hermione Granger was rarely late for anything at all. She was always prepared, taking pride in the fact that she was ahead of the game. However, she was meant to meet Theodore in half an hour and still needed to get ready. This is why she sprinted to Gryffindor Tower and hastily spat the password at the portrait, before stumbling in and racing up the stairs.

Casting charms to fix her hair as she brushed her teeth, sorting through her trunk for something to wear and clumsily tripping every other step, the witch somehow managed to ready herself in just over fifteen minutes. Checking and double checking how she looked in the mirror, she raced through the castle to the Entrance Hall where Theodore was standing, hands in his pockets, casually glancing around and the boredom prominent in his features. All of the boredom however, was replaced with something else when Hermione tapped him on the shoulder.

"Hermione Granger? Fancy seeing you here," he exclaimed jokingly.

"Hm, yes. Theodore Nott is it? Haven't seen you in ages," she drawled, the sarcasm practically dripping off of each word.

"Well aren't you just a ray of sunshine this morning?" he teased.

She looked up at the Slytherin and laid one hand gently on the side of his face. Looking up at him, she felt the corners of her lips involuntarily twitch up and she brushed her fingers across his cheekbone. "You're kind of beautiful did you know know that?"

"Yeah, I know," he shrugged, "You're beautiful too you know, perhaps not as much as me but beautiful nonetheless."

"I hate you," she whispered, a grin on her face.

     "I hate you too, Granger."

__________

"Are we even still in Scotland?" she asked.

"No, actually we're in London," he said casually, as if he hadn't just apparated her there from Hogsmeade.

     "Theodore–"
