"I just need you to sign these papers then you can go on your way, you just need to make sure to take your medications as instructed and if you experience any problems come back right away alright?" Melissa Mccall said as I was signing my discharge papers. I spent a total of one and a half days at the hospital due to Deans masterpiece on my face. Nothing was permanent maybe a couple scars but nothing too noticeable. Derek was sitting by my side next to me listening very closely to what she was saying. Why is Derek here? I do not know. I only expected him to visit once and then get on with his life as an alpha. But he visited a lot, like I lost count a lot. Part of it made me happy I had someone here but the other side of me told me that he only pitied me because I have no one else. Or maybe he was enjoying his life as a free man. We managed to pin the murders on Kate. Some necklace that Harris said that Kate was wearing when she asked how to get away with arson.

"Yeah, okay thank you Miss Mccall" I said with a smile. Melissa and I are good friends. More like acquaintances. We never hang out in our free time or anything. We did talk a lot when I would babysit Scott. Melissa is a struggling mom and I was always happy to help and she is extremely sweet and considerate.

"What do you mean by problems, what problems" Derek asked from the seat he was sitting in beside me. His question earned an eye roll from me. He didn't notice because he was waiting for an answer from Melissa.

"Just if the side effects get to be to extreme, nausea, headache, memory loss." She explained. Derek nodded and I signed my discharge papers. As I stood up Derek stood up with me and helped carry some of my bags.

"Derek, I don't need a babysitter" I said not looking him in his eyes but looking at his chest.

"I'm not going to babysit you Haley, I'm just making sure you make it to your car" He said. I don't understand why he is treating me like I just got out of a coma or something. It was a minor concussion. Nothing too serious.

"Fine" I said and started walking. As I reached for the door handle I was halted in my steps as the sound of a ear aching scream was heard throughout the hospital. "Jesus Christ what the hell was that?" I questioned turning around to face Derek but when I looked he was gone. The only thing that showed any evidence of where he went was an open window. I walked out of my room to see who screamed. I walked to where there was a crowd of people. Some of who I recognized such as, the sheriff, Stiles, and Melissa. I tuned into the conversation when the sheriff told them to get a APB out on a red head and Stiles giving a in depth description of her. I'm guessing Lydia was missing, which was her who screamed. I heard what happened to the popular teen. Peter Hale attacked her on the lacrosse field and bit her. She must be turning. Peter must have been trying to turn more teenagers to add to his charade to go after the Argents, well too little to late Peter. I now understand why Derek is in such a hurry to find her. Problem is I don't think she will want to join his pack. She and Derek were complete opposites.

"I wanna help you" I told the sheriff.

"Aren't you supposed to be in your hospital room?" He asked.

"No I just got discharged, come on let me help" I begged. He just rolled his eyes and nodded earning a great big smile from me. He could never say no to me. We searched all night with no luck of finding Lydia. We did get a lead on where the K-9's led us which was the graveyard. The sheriff and I were talking to Isaac, a teenager who works at the graveyard, also a kid who gets abused by his father. I've tried to build a case against him but I could never get enough evidence and It doesn't help that Isaac won't talk about the abuse that is afflicted on him.

"He's not in school which is where he needs to be in twenty minutes." Isaac's stupid father said.

"Yeah and I understand that, but I've got a missing teenage girl and our K-9 unit led us here, she's not wearing any clothes and if she's out here tonight when the temperature really drops" Sheriff started but Isaac interrupted.

"I'm sorry , I didn't see anything"

"True! If he saw a naked girl outside of his computer screen he would remember" his father said with a laugh. I looked at him unimpressed and he seemed to catch on because he stopped laughing. I looked over at Isaac and noticed the bruising around his eye, no doubt from his father.

"How'd you get that black eye Isaac?" I asked. Don't think I didn't notice how his father sent him a warning look when I asked the question.

"School" He said

"School fight?" I asked

"No lacrosse." He said.

The sheriff started talking about Stiles and how he plays lacrosse and I was just glaring at the father. Why would someone do that to their kid, their own flesh and blood. He should be lucky he even has flesh and blood. I suddenly felt this anger build up inside of me that I haven't experienced before, I wanted to hurt him just like he hurt his son, but I held myself back.

"Something wrong Isaac?" Stilinski asked.

"No I- Sorry I just remember I have a practice to get to" He said.

"Just one more question, you guys get many grave robberies here?" I asked

"a few, usually they just take things like jewelry" He said.

"What did this one take?" I asked

"Her liver" He said. Why would Lydia take a dead persons liver? Why not go after someone living. That's what normal werewolves do. Beacon hills just keeps getting better. I was walking back to my cruiser when I saw a familiar face walking to their Camaro. I quickened my step to meet up with him.

"Hey!" I yelled stopping him in his tracks. He stopped and looked at me waiting for me to talk but he looked spooked. His face was a shade lighter and his eyes were wide. "You okay? You look spooked" I asked him. (A/N This was just after he confronted Jackson)

"Yeah, I'm fine what's up?" He asked

"Have you found Lydia yet I know that's why you left the hospital" I said.

"No, I did find another werewolf he's the one that did the grave robbery, I was there" He said. I'm glad Derek is actually telling me things now, maybe he got annoyed with my nagging.

"You were? Did Isaac see you?" I asked. He hesitated for a moment, my guess he was trying to remember who Isaac was.

"No" He said as he got in his car "He was in the grave he was digging, I moved the machine so he could get out and left to look for Lydia" He said

"Alright" I said and bent down in his window to look at him. "Thank you Derek, it's about damn time you started telling me things" and with a small smile he drove off.
