Indigo sat on the edge of the cliff, staring down at his brother, Lavender. He was gathering all kinds of things for the fairy festival tonight. The one that he didn't plan on going to. He sighed, he didn't tell his brother this but he was planning to go to the human world tonight (behind his brother's back). His brother had always said that one day they would go together since they were twins. However, Indigo couldn't wait anymore, he had to see it. With or without his brother.

Indigo woke up his brother.

"Hey, Lavender," he whispered,"Want to go to the human world with me?"

Lavender turned over and looked at him,"Sure, right now?"

"Yes, now!"

Lavender slowly got up and grabbed his brother's hand.Quickly they both flew to the portal to the human world. However, before they went through, Indigo noticed a sign on the side of it.

IF YOU ENTER THIS PORTAL YOU CAN NEVER COME BACK

Indigo tapped his brother's shoulder. He looked at the sign.

"We've had our fun here. Time to go somewhere new," Lavender said patting his brother's shoulder.

Then they jumped into the portal. Right onto a young gentleman's head. He looked at them with a disappointed look.

" And you landed on my head why?"

"Um... we, uh, are sorry?" Indigo said, a slight questioning tone in his voice.

"Really? Because you don't sound it in the least."

Lavender quickly came to the rescue, "My apologies, sir, we have been homeless for so long, we must have forgotten our manners. You see, sir, we were just trying to get away from some bad men using the roofs of those buildings over there. When we jumped towards the last building, we kind of missed our mark, and, well, landed on your head. We are both so deeply sorry."

The young gentleman cocked his head at Indigo and his brother, "What are your names?"

Indigo finally spoke up, not wanting his brother to do all the talking, "We don't remember our reals names, so I go by Indigo, sir, and my brother goes by Lavender. It's just something we do to make us feel more..... uh, human."

The young gentleman looked at them, "Alright, well do you want my help Indigo and Lavender?"

Lavender looked into the young gentleman's eyes, "What are you proposing, sir"

"Come live with me," he said, smiling at them. "Then you won't be homeless or running from bad men."

Indigo moved closer to the young gentleman, "What do you get from this?"

He looked at Indigo in response, "Help around the house. So what do you say?"

Lavender moved next to Indigo, "Deal, but before we continue, what's your name?"

The young gentleman smiled creepily, "Cerin, Cerin Doyle."
