Chapter 2 - Meeting Rick and Morty

You stared at the man, kinda confused on why he was yelling.
         "Uh, yeah, it is. And yeah, I made it. Any other ridiculous questions you want answered?", you asked back with an eyebrow raised.
         "Ha! Y-you just got b-burned, Rick!", the younger looking guy said with a laugh as Rick just grumbled under his breath.
         "Yeah, I see that. What's your name?", Rick, as you assumed, said as he looked over at you.
         "(Y/n). (Y/n) (L/n).", you said as you messed around with the teleporter.
         "Wait...you're (Grandma's/name) (L/n)'s granddaughter?", Rick said as his eyes widened just the tiniest bit.
         "Yeah. I'm assuming you're Rick Sanchez, my grandma's close friend?", you said remembering reading about him in the book.
         "Yup. How's she doing? I haven't seen her in ages, she was like my mentor considering she knew much more about science and the planets than me.", Rick said as he gave a small chuckle. Your eyes became slightly saddened, though you didn't show it. Your grandmother was a sensitive topic for you, but for the sake of the poor guy, you knew he had to know.
          "She passed away quite a while ago, due to old age. I never got to meet her, but she left behind a book of all her adventures and findings for me to keep, so I learned from it. It's how I made this.", you said pointing to your Teleporter 666.
           "...Well shit.", he said pulling out a small flask and taking a sip from it, you immediately knowing he was an alcoholic.
           "Well, I should get going. I'll be late for school.", you said. As you started walking towards the front of the school, you heard one of the guys shouting behind you.
           "HEY! WAIT UP!!!", he said as he caught up with you.
           "This is also my s-school! Want to walk to-together? I'm Morty by the way!", he said as he blushed and gave you a smile. You chuckled, realizing that Morty, as he said, has a crush on you already. Poor kid, he's way too shy around girls and people in general.
           "Sure. Why not?", you said as you both started walking to your next class together, both of you finding out that you have the same classes and that you both have some things in common, mostly nerdy things. As you both got to your first class, math, you groaned. The teacher was the worst, was this even 8th grade? The math is so simple a 4th grader could have done it! As you both walked in, Mr. Goldenfold started passing out a pop quiz. Everyone groaned whilst you just sighed, knowing this would happen. As soon as you got handed the quiz, you filled in all the answers, putting it at the front desk and walking back to your seat, sitting down and laying your head on your desk, trying to get some shut eye. But before you could try to get some sleep, you heard a portal forming from behind you, you know cause your grandma videotaped some of her adventures, and saw one arm grab Morty and another grab you and soon you were sucked into the portal.
