3 - Bitter sweet romance

Monday morning came so fast I couldn't even grasp on to the time.

I sat in first period replaying Friday night over and over again in my head.

"Jenna!" Megan shouted shaking me back into reality.

"Oh sorry." I mumbled as we walked to second period.

"What is with you today? anyway I need your help. Alex asked me to prom this morning. I need your help finding a dress."

Prom? After everything that he told me Friday night? After everything that happened?

"Sure."

As we walked into second period Megan went to go sit with Alex and I went to my seat next to a jock named Blake.

"Sup, Jenna." He smirked combing back his blonde curly hair with his fingers.

"Hi." I rolled my eyes as Mr.Kirchman handed out new math booklets.

I lost my virginity with Alex but Megan gives to spend everyday in his arms. She gives to go with him to prom. Every second she's with him is another second I wish It were me. He cheated on her with me and yet I'm the one who's hurting.

During lunch Megan invited Alex to have lunch with us at our table.

He sat across from me with her in his arms. It seems like he doesn't even remember that night and it's really staring to suck.

"So alex. Have you found a limo yet?" Megan asked as she fixed his collar.

"Limo?"

"Yeah. For prom duh!"

"What's wrong with my car?"

"Um, it's not going to fit all my friends duh silly." She giggled but you can hear the anger in her tone.

"I didn't realize I had to provide a ride for all of your friends."

"Prom is the most important night of our senior year. If it isn't perfect it will ruin my entire high school experience! Jenna would agree. Right, jenna?" She shouted crossing her arms.

"Um, actually.. I'm not going to prom." I said giving her a nervous smile. The kind you give a dog that you know is going to bite you.

"What??!!" She screamed grabbing everyone's attention.

"I just rather stay home. Dances aren't really my thing."

Megan starred at me with her jaw dropped and the second the bell rang she left without a single word said. She didn't even kiss Alex bye like she normally would.

"See ya." Alex smirked and gave me a kiss then walked away.

I sat there speechless. He's been acting like nothing happened all day and now he kisses me?? I sighed and grabbed my stuff. I don't have a class 5th period so I sat in the library.

I tried to get Alex out of my head but I couldnt. No matter what I do or where I go It sucks because all I want to do is be with him.

The next few days went by slow. Megan and her preppy bitchy friends are helping her find the perfect prom dress. Alex hasn't been around much either, but he has been texting me.

I've been spending time with my old group of friends from the art club.

When I was a geeky freshman I joined 5 clubs. So I had something to do after school each day.

Monday - Art Club

Tuesday - Book Club

Wednesday - Video Game Club

Thursday - Drama Club

Friday - Anime Club

I stopped going to clubs after freshman year. Megan and I hung out a lot during the end of freshman year, but when me and Megan started dating Alex that's when things got destroyed. He fell for her and somehow I fell for him.

Friday came pretty fast and for the first time throughout my entire high school years I had nothing planned for this weekend. That is until now..

Alex: Heyy what's up?

Me: Hi. Nm just got home. You?

Alex: Nothing. Wanna hang out?

I began questioning if I should or not but no matter how many reasons I came up with to say no my heart just kept screaming "YES GOD DAMMIT! YES!" It's been 3 whole years since Alex and I hung out. Just me and him.

What's the worst that could happen?

Then again... thinking about what we already did.. how could it get worse than that?

I shook my head and replied.

"sure. My house or yours?" My heart began racing as I waited for his reply.

If Megan finds out she will freak out and probably take this to the grave..
