He barely had the time to reach the bar of the hotel, to take a seat on one of the booths under the soberly decorated dome, to get out of the bag his smartphone, his tablet and his notebook, and to ask for a barley coffee and a bowl of water for Matilda - who was still excited from the long walk they took on the boosted board to get there from home - when, raising his eyes, he saw a girl in front of him. Tall and skinny, a pair of thin-framed glasses on green eyes, with copperish red hair in a wedge cut and a flawless total black outfit: soft pants, a shirt with plunging neckline, a velvet jacket with golden buttons and the furry Princetown slippers by Gucci on her feet.

“Riccardo?” she asked, stretching out her hand with fine and long fingers, on which stood out two tattoos instead of rings

“Riccardo?” she asked, stretching out her hand with fine and long fingers, on which stood out two tattoos instead of rings. “I'm pretty sure you're here for me. I'm Alessia.”
In fact Alessia Magnini was one the two candidates he was going to interview that morning, and he should have met them exactly a half an hour later.
“Yes, hi Alessia, thanks for coming. Actually I wasn't expecting you this early, and Chiara isn't even arrived yet.”
And I was hoping to get some work done and to drink a coffee in peace, he thought to himself.
“Oh yes, of course, I'm sorry. If you prefer I can find a place where to sit in the hall and wait until eleven, as I'd arranged with your assistant. You know, being so cold outside I've preferred to use the public transports instead of the motorcycle to come downtown, and since the underground is so crowded right now, I thought it was safer to leave in advance. Unfortunately, I can't shake this bad habit of precision off of me” she quickly explained herself with a gentle smile.
“No, really, don't worry. Actually, since you're here, how about joining me for a coffee? We can wait for Chiara and in meantime we can have a chat” proposed Riccardo, who, hearing about the motorcycle (that he also had to reluctantly leave in the garage for the same reason) and after that clear demonstration of diligence, had already abandoned his urgent need of answering emails.
