THIRD PERSON'S POV

"Niall, please. Just stop and listen to me. Five minutes of your time won't make you miss out on much from your beloved party." Harry huffed a breath as he rushed to block the door to their house and prevent his boyfriend from leaving.

"Fine, I'm listening. What do you want Styles?" Niall snapped impatiently as Harry flinched at his words. He wasn't even 'Harry' anymore, he was just Styles now. It was like he and Niall became sworn enemies to the blond boy, and the sheer heartbreak at the thought was enough to push Harry to his breaking point.

"I can't take it anymore Niall! This, us. It does not even count as a relationship. I don't even feel like you love me anymore, Ni." Harry's voice cracked as he trailed off, not being able to force out more than a few words out of his clogged throat.

"Well excuse me for trying to live my life instead of just spending time at home with you doing absolutely nothing. Talk about boring." Niall rolled his eyes as he picked at his nails in a less than interested manner.

Harry noticed how Niall did not even try to refute what he just said and tell him that no, he did love him still.

"Who said we have to spend time at home? We could go out and do whatever you want baby, but whenever I suggest a date you're quick to turn it down. Since when has your idea of fun become drinking and partying until ungodly hours of the morning?" Harry did not know how he has managed to keep himself together and not just fall to his knees and allow his sobs to rock him to sleep, yet again.

"Seriously? We have been doing just that for five years now. I'm done with that; we are not seventeen anymore." Niall's breath hitched slightly at the sight of the silent tears trailing down Harry's cheeks and the way he was biting down on his wobbling lips, but he steeled himself once more as he focused on getting his point across to the boy who was breaking right in front of his eyes. Yet, he found himself doing nothing to stop it.

A little voice that he was quick to squash into silence echoed in his mind that he was the one who let everything fall to shit like that, and he was on the verge of losing the only person who had his heart ever since day one.

"But I... it's not fair that the only time I feel like you remotely care about me is when you're drunk and I'm taking care of you. I love you Niall and I just want to fall asleep in your arms feeling like you do too, why can't you understand that?" Harry wrapped his arms around himself, suddenly feeling very small under his boyfriend's harsh and unrelenting gaze.

"No one asked you to take care of me. You can leave for all I care Styles. This is my life and only I get to choose how I live it. Can I go now? I'm already late."

Harry was having a hard time breathing to even register Niall grabbing his keys and wallet then roughly pushing him away from the door so he can leave to his party.

You can leave for all I care. You can leave.

A quiet, choked whimper forced its way out of Harry's lips only to be followed by pained and disbelieving sobs at how his world seemed to have crashed all around him in just mere seconds by none other than the love of his life.

He gasped harshly when he realized that he cannot stay a minute longer in a house that once held his dearest memories but suddenly felt so cold and hostile. There was simply no reason for him to stay. His reason wanted him gone.

With that, Harry found himself packing his things along with all the photographs and polaroids him and Niall were always keen on taking because once upon a time his boyfriend cared and loved him enough to create memories with him. Harry was not about to leave without something he can hold onto because no matter what, Niall will forever be the love of his life.

Harry did not think he would ever be able to move on from them.

A couple of hours later found him waiting in the airport for his plane that was not due for quite a while, ready to go to the one place he never imagined he would visit without Niall.

Two hours into the party and Niall could not focus on anything but the fact that he had just practically told his boyfriend that he did not mean anything to him. Unable to tolerate the thought of the unimaginable pain Harry must have been going through for the past six months, Niall was quick to leave the said party and shove all of 'his friends' that had caused him to treat his relationship with Harry so brutally and to recklessly take it for granted out of the way so he could make it towards the exist of the suddenly overbearing club.

True to his words, Harry was always there to pick up his drunken ass, take him to bed and change him out of his clothes, then nurse his hangover throughout the night, and just make sure that he was back to human in the morning. Niall is only now realizing just how bad he has been treating his boyfriend. He has not so much as told Harry that he loved him for the past six months, has not touched him lovingly or made him feel like he mattered for so long.

It was with shame that he admitted to himself that it took him looking into Harry's lifeless eyes and realizing that he managed to extinguish the lively sparkle in the green crystals that had him trip and fall in love with Harry in the first place to realize that he had fucked up the one thing that mattered in his life.

He was not ready to lose Harry yet.

"Harry? Babe?" Niall has never felt so cold in their house before, and it took him a second to realize what the reason for that could be.

He quickly ran to their room where all his worst fears were realized; Harry had left.

After checking to make sure that he had not gone to one of their friends, Niall made a mad dash to his car and quickly sped towards the airport.

"If you ever felt the need to runaway from everything, where is one place in the world you would go?"

"Paris. Definitely Paris. Hopefully we can visit there one day together."

"I need a ticket to the plane to Paris that is about to take off in fifteen." Niall tried not to snap at the lady in front of him who was already giving him a disapproving look at his demanding tone.

"There's only one ticket left, sir." She gave a calculating glance at his attire, "and it is first class."

"First class then." Niall slammed the credit card in front of her face, glancing at his watch every two seconds to make sure that he was not about to be too late, and quite possible, lose Harry forever.

After a grueling process with the less then helpful lady, Niall barely made it past the boarding gates with a second to spare. He quickly scanned the aisles of the airplane as he rushed through them, releasing a relieved sigh once he spotted the all too familiar head of curls leaning against the window, looking too sad for Niall's heart to bear.

"Who's gonna walk me through the dark side of the morning?"

"N-Niall?" Harry wiped at his eyes as he was startled in his seat, but more tears escaped his eyes once he realized that Niall was quoting one of their promises to each other back when they were seventeen and enamored with one another.

"Sorry, but I'm not about to let you walk out of my life so easily baby."
