[Here's come the chapter 10. The situation is getting tenser. Hope you can enjoy]

~ROME~

I didn't know why Lisa suddenly ignored me. I tried to catch her up but she told me to stay away from her. I gave up. I let her go without knowing what I have done wrong.

I sighed. Perhaps she doesn't want to be bothered because of those guys, I assumed. So I decided to give her space. I walked slowly aimlessly until I realized that I walked passing the principal's office. I didn't know why I stopped and gazed through the opened door.

Mr. Hummel, the headmaster, and the two teachers talked to both Alex and Tobey. Lindsay was there too, but she didn't speak anything. Both Alex and Tobey was quiet too, listening to the headmaster's preach.

I felt very bad with Tobey. He basically defends all bullied people. But we have a special bond. Not in a weird way, but he is like my brother. He's indeed the brother I want to have. It's my fault if he gets a detention.

When Alex suddenly looked at me, my heart was thumping. It's not wise to keep looking at them, I told myself, so I quickly got off from there.

"Rome!"

I heard someone called my name and I turned around. I snorted when I saw Casey running toward me. I wanted to leave him, but he quickly grabbed my hand and took me somewhere quiet.

"Hey, Buddy, please don't be mean to me," he pleaded, "I don't want you to unfriend me, please. I know I'm a jerk, but I promise I will change. Julie is no one for me. Lisa is the one who means a lot to me, Rome. You have to believe me."

I looked at his face. I didn't know why I believed in what he said. But I didn't speak anything.

"We're still friends, right? You will help me to get Lisa, won't you, Buddy?" he asked, "I'll be your bodyguard in this school so you don't have to worry," he put his hands on my shoulder, smiled, and patted my cheek.

"Please don't break Lisa's heart," I demanded.

He shook his head and raised his two fingers, "No, I won't. I swear!"

"All right. Now you don't have to follow me. I will go to my class and break time will be over soon," I told him. Even though I had forgiven him, his presence still annoyed me.

He hugged me in excitement for a while. I wanted to push him away before someone saw us and had a misunderstanding on us. I was glad when he stopped. "I'll see you after school okay!" he patted my cheek again and left me.

After he left, another one approached me. I gasped when Edward came with a stern look on me. He grabbed my arm, "Whatever he said to you, don't believe in him! You know what he's done to Lisa. He's untrustworthy!"

"I-I..."

"Rome, you know I'm the right one for Lisa. I won't hurt her like that bastard has done," he urged, but I couldn't reply anything.

I shrugged, "Actually, I don't know, Edward. I do not own Lisa's heart. It's her choice to pick either one of you," I verified.

He smiled, and patted my other cheek, different side from what Casey did to me previously, "You will help me, Rome. Trust me, okay. You won't regret to be on my side," he said and left me.

Why do I have to be in between their fight over Lisa's heart? I sighed, didn't know what to do. They both are nice to me. It must be hard for Lisa. I even can't choose between Casey and Edward.

Another wave approached me then. This time, it was Emma and Liam. At least I didn't have to have a race in my heart because it was them.

Liam hugged me tightly, saying that he was worried when they heard Alex and Tobey fought because of me. Emma pulled Liam away from me and said not to take advantage of me. She then hugged me too.
