"Why is 'Freckles the only thing you will say?" Laurens asked Alex.

"Freckles," Alex stubbornly said. It was like an addiction; saying Laurens' nickname. Laurens shrugged it off. He wouldn't admit it, but Alex saying 'freckles' was actually pretty cute.

But Laurens knew that Alex was just too perfect to bother with him. That didn't mean he couldn't fantasize.

Alex and Laurens were at the mall, Alex had the job of keeping Laurens busy while the group set up a surprise party for Laurens. Alex pointed to the food court, maybe they could get a drink.

"Food?" Laurens guessed. "Drink?" Alex nodded confirming his guess. Alex got Fresca and Laurens got Diet Coke. "Alex, give me a sip of that, I've never tried it before." Alex handed Laurens his drink and let him try it. 'Indirect kiss,' both of their minds screamed. "That's pretty good. I should've gotten one," Laurens remarked.

Alex took a swig of the drink, wondering if everything was set up back at home. At that thought Alex felt his phone vibrate.

LargeBaguette: We're ready, mon amie.

HamMan: Okay, expect us in about 15 minutes.

Alex got up, causing Laurens to follow his lead. The walk from the mall to the Washington's home wasn't long and they arrived shortly after they started walking. Laurens followed Alex into the entertainment room. He jumped back as everyone- except Alex- yelled "Surprise!"

"Awe, guys," Laurens sighed "you didn't have to."

"Yes we did," Peggy argued "it's your birthday."

"Tell him something he doesn't know," Lafayette said sarcastically.

"Presents or cake first?" Eliza asked.

"Right down to business, eh?" Angellica laughed.

"Eliza" Hercules said. "Dinner before anything."

"True," Laurens agreed. "So what do you guys have planned for supper?"

"Pizza," Aaron answered, "a classic party food. Until then let's play Twister." Aaron pulled Twister out of the games closet. "Who's spinning?"

Laurens turned to Alex. "Well, you're not going to speak, huh? Then how about Peggy?" Peggy jumped up and shouted in excitement.

"Losers!" she yelled.

"How do I play?" Alex signed.

"Just watch," Hercules answered. "You'll get it quickly." Alex nodded, if Hercules said it was easy, then there was a 50/50 chance it was. Alex got the hang of it pretty fast, while Peggy laughed whenever someone struggled to stay up.

A couple minutes later the doorbell rang. Everyone expectantly looked at Peggy. After all, she was the only one who wasn't tangled up in the slightest. "Not my house," she said, shrugging.

"You've gotta be kidding me," Hercules complained. "COMING!" He tried to untangle himself, but tripped so everyone fell over.

"Vous allez bien, cheval? Christ, Peggy," Lafayette said in an annoyed tone.

"I have no idea what you just said," Peggy replied.
