"No peeking!" Jack chided jokingly as he tied a blindfold over Ianto's eyes. "Where are you taking me?!" Ianto laughed as Jack began leading him outside and through the woods. "Somewhere special!" Jack said. "Sure you are!" Ianto said, cracking a smile again. Jack laughed and continued to lead him through the woods, occasionally stepping on a stick with a loud snap, startling the shit out of Ianto.

The sun was setting and the woods were growing dark, "almost there!" Jack said excitedly. "Good. I can't wait to take this thing off my face!" Ianto said in mock displeasure. "Sure, cuz you'd rather my face be there instead!" Jack countered happily. "Maybe I do! maybe I don't!" Ianto said, trying to hide the laughter coming up his throat. Failing miserably. "Are you dying? This is really not the time Ianto." Jack laughed at his lover's little fit. "Are we there yet!?" Ianto complained. "Almost! Take like 10 more steps forward! And don't trip on that rock!" Jack instructed as Ianto stumbled over the rock. "Thanks...." He muttered, smiling to himself.

The boys walked into a large clearing, there was a picnic blanket set out and lanterns hanging from a few of the trees. Jack led Ianto into the center of the clearing, turning him so that they faced each other, "you can take your blindfold off now." Jack said. He watched as he struggled with the knot, before eventually pulled the thing off. Ianto looked around, seeing the beautiful scene, he turned back to Jack. Before he could say anything though, Jack leaned in and kissed him. They didn't break apart for a long time and when they did, they just sat and held each other in the silence.

"Wanna eat?" Jack said suddenly, breaking the blissful silence. "Sure" Ianto smiled. They sat down on the blanket and Jack unpacked the basket that lay there. "Here," Jack said, handing Ianto a sandwich and taking one out for himself. Ianto bit into his, getting sauce on his face, Jack starting laughing at him. "What?!" He asked smiling. Jack reached over and pulled Ianto close to him, "you got a little something on your face" he said smiling quietly. He took Ianto's face in his hands, wiping the sauce off his face and kissing his nose. Ianto sat back into Jack's lap, resting his head against Jack's chest. Jack put the arm he wasn't using to eat with, across Ianto's chest and they sat like that quietly eating their picnic as the sun went down.

Jack threw everything back into the basket, "c'mere!" He motioned to Ianto. Jack flopped back onto the blanket, staring at the starry sky. Ianto came and plopped down beside to him. Jack took no delay, he pulled Ianto closer to him and they both nestled into each other as they stared up at the sky. Jack pulled another blanket over top of them as the chill of the night began to linger. "It's beautiful." Ianto said quietly, in awe at all the stars he could see. In the city there were so many lights that you couldn't really see any stars. Jack looked down at the boy's head, the moonlight sparkling off his hair, "not nearly as beautiful as you." He said as he kissed the top of his head. Ianto tilted his head back to stare into Jack's eyes, "I love you, Jack" he whispered. Jack smiled, "I love you too, Ianto Jones,"

Jack and Ianto lay kissing under the stars for many hours, quite happy with the blissful silence and the warmth of each others bodies. Soon Ianto fell asleep, his head nestled into the crook of Jack's neck. Jack had his arms wrapped around Ianto, holding him close as his eyes fluttered shut as well. "Goodnight sweet prince." Jack whispered into the darkness as he fell asleep. Crickets chirped and owls hooted throughout the remainder of the night, but nothing disturbed or woke the sleeping couple. They slept blissfully under the stars.
