My Poetry, My Life

The Aching

my heart aches

with sorrow and despair

as I watch

newsfeeds from around

 the world about 

bombs exploding,

attacks,

people dying, 

terrorism and

sadness.

our world 

is falling to pieces 

and no matter

what we try

to do, it

just gets worse

and worse

and worse.

I cry as I see

innocent people

covered in their own blood,

dying,

because others are so full of

hate.

we are all slowly

losing hope 

for a better tomorrow.
