i woke to find someone standing over me, it was the guy from the club, the one who Nadi was chatting with, Jace, I think that was his name.

Then I remembered what had happened. I rummaged in my pockets looking for my phone, it’s gone, how could it be gone?

“Jace I need to use your phone! Nadi’s been kidnapped!” luckily he didn’t argue, just handed his phone over. I dialled the only person I could think of.

“Aunt Ellen, Nadi’s been kidnapped. I don’t know how, they were here one second, gone the next, I know it sounds stupid but someone knocked me out, but not before I saw them take her.” Her reply was short.

“Don’t panic, don’t call the police. I WILL find out who did this and where she is, go home and leave it to me.” Aunt Ellen is the sort of person no one argues with. I just agreed with her and hung up. Once I’d given jace his phone back I broke down, he looked so shocked I nearly laughed. If it had been Nadi I would have been in stitches.

“Did I hear you say Nadines been kidnapped?! When?” he looked as freaked as I felt.

“Y-yes she’s b-been kidnapped. Last n-night. I-i don’t know what to do.” I had to stop stuttering, I need to get-a-hold of myself. Deep breaths, remember what your coach said last summer.

“Call the police.” He said it like it was so simple. But I couldn’t I’d told Aunt Ellen that I wouldn’t, she knew what to do, I just had to wait to hear from her, even though it would be hell not knowing where Nadi is and what’s happening to her. I hope she’s ok.

“No. I can’t. Aunt Ellen said she would.” A small lie but one that

I had to tell, I didn’t know why but I just couldn’t call them. “I need to get home. I’ve already broken my curfew. Im guna be in so much trouble. What am I guna tell mum?!”

Jace walked me to my road, saying that he would have a look around, see if he could find anything out. He seemed to think he could find out information. I don’t know how though. I asked him to let me know if he heard anything no matter how small, I gave him my number and he promised to let me know if he found anything.

“Bye jace, I hope you can find her.” I said to his back as he walked down the street.

“I’ll try” he shouted back.
