[ Hayami ]". . . What?"
Hayami asked with a dumbfounded face. Realizing what Gran Torino had said, she waved her hands frantically in front of herself.
"H-hold on Mr. Torino! You could've at least let me change into more suitable clothes!" Hayami exclaimed. The elderly man took a few slow steps forward which caused Hayami to move back. "I mean shouldn't we do this outside for larger space?! We wouldn't want your furniture to get—ACK!"
She didn't get to finish her sentence when suddenly she was punched hard on the stomach. She clutched her stomach as pain erupted from within. "That h-hurts!"
Her ocean-blue eyes couldn't keep track of Gran Torino. Flashes of white trailed behind the man as he bounced off the walls repeatedly. It reminded her of a bouncy ball that was difficult to catch.
And it annoyed her.
She received plenty amount of pain on her back, stomach, even her face. Kick after punch, she couldn't do the same in return.
Thirty seconds left.
Hayami wanted to trap the man somehow to stop him from moving altogether. Although her eyes couldn't even see where he was, she considered that at some point she might get a chance to attack back.
"Crap! What can I do to immobilize him!? OUCH! I can't even see where he's going to strike next. . ."
Hayami tried to look around the room to protect herself from the attacks. Then a sudden thought came to be. She crouched on the floor, touching it with her right palm. A transparent white forcefield began to make its way around her; it was a solidified cloud that acted as a shield.
Gran Torino kept hitting the forcefield, attempting to break it. He was successful when Hayami noticed it cracking slightly. Another idea came to her and she quickly took action.
Hayami touched the forcefield-like cloud and it exploded with a poof. The whole room was covered in thick fog-like clouds. Hayami stood in place in a fighting stance. Her eyes traveled to where she could sense Gran Torino was. It wasn't hard for her to track where he was, since the clouds she conjured were like a part of her. If it was touched by someone or came in contact with something, she can feel where they were.
Ten.
Nine.
Eight.
Her reflexes kicked in and she was able to block Gran Torino's coming punch. Instead of relying on her quirk she used her physical abilities instead. Hayami wasn't that good at fighting, but she picked up a few of Katsuki's moves whenever she got in a physical fight with Katsuki.
Seven.
Six.
Five.
When the two were at a good distance from each other, Hayami delivered a right hook across Gran Torino's face. She heard him groan, but he was still quick on his feet and sent a sweet kick on Hayami's face in return, sending her stumbling on her own two feet.
Four.
Three.
Two.
Hayami laid on the floor, ignoring the throbbing pain on her face. She wasn't giving up now. The determination she felt never left as she brought out her right hand, her palm facing Gran Torino. The fog that was spread across the room engulfed Gran Torino in a matter of a split second.
