[ Hayami ]The young girl felt so scared as she cowered in the corner of the room. The memories of her parents getting murdered played in her mind. She can't get rid of the thoughts of the man who had killed her parents. The worst part was: he tried to take her with him and he was successful.
All of the torture and the overusing of her power at such a young age, it had nearly killed her. How can a small and fragile girl like her be gifted with such great power? It didn't take long for tears to stream down her face.
A woman hurriedly entered the room, right when she heard the young girl's whimper.
"What's wrong, Hayami?" She asked, comforting her by rubbing he back.
"Mommy is gone. I always see her dying in my dreams! Even Daddy! I don't want to keep seeing them like that!" Hayami cried, her shoulders trembling. "I want it all to stop."
The woman, her Aunt Haru, hugged the young girl and planted a kiss on her forehead. "It's going to be okay, Hayami. You still have me. W-we couldn't have done anything about what happened to your father, and...your mother," she said, and wiped a single tear from her eye.
"B-but.." Hayami started, knowing that it was true. She clenched her small hands furiously and wiped her streaming tears. "I want him to pay! I want to be a hero so I can find him and avenge Mommy!"
-
"Did you hear? She doesn't have parents!"
"Hmm, I'm so lucky to have mine."
"So that means she's an ou- orf- orphan!"
Hayami's eyes were brimming with tears, hearing her classmates as they talked about her situation. For her, hearing them talk about it every time was enough to make her heart shatter into pieces. It reminded her of her parents' death.
"Knock it off!"
She turned around, hearing the familiar voice of her friend.
Katsuki Bakugou.
Small sparks appeared on the palms of his hands as he glared at their classmates.
"Say any more mean things about Hayami and I'll blow you all up!"
Some students snickered, others winced at the outburst, but most kept their mouths shut.
The teacher went in and looked disapprovingly at Katsuki. "Katsuki-kun, you need a time out! Face the corner for a minute."
Katsuki clicked his tongue in annoyance and glanced at Hayami, who was looking at him with a timid smile on her face. Feeling satisfied with her reaction, he walked over to the corner and faced the wall.
"Kacchan sure is scary. Are you alright, Aya-chan?"
Hayami heard another familiar voice. She looked at her other friend and gave him a smile.
Izuku Midoriya.
"I'm fine, Izu-kun."
"I'm sorry about what happened to your parents."
Hayami looked down and mumbled, "Don't worry, it's not your fault...You know what, I'm actually kind of glad that Daddy died."
Hayami looked at Izuku to see if he had heard what she said, but Izuku was already going back to his seat as their teacher was preparing their lessons.
"Catch up to you later, Aya-chan!"
"You too, Izu-kun."
-
Walking down the empty street by herself, Hayami felt a sudden cold breeze behind her. She turned and saw the man who saved her from the incident. She smiled widely and ran back to the well-built man.
"All Might!" She exclaimed, wrapping her small arms around his legs.
"Hello young Hayami! Where is your Aunt Haru? And why are you walking home all by yourself?" All Might asked, ruffling the girl's hair.
"Well, it's been an hour since school ended and she still hasn't picked me up. I got bored so I snuck out without anyone noticing," She explained.
"Let's get you back to your aunt."
He let Hayami get a piggy-back ride to her house. He was so fast, they arrived in a milliseocnd. All Might knocked on the door. Nobody answered and Hayami got down.
"I know where the spare key is!"
Hayami brought a key under a flower pot on the doorstep of her house. She handed it to All Might and he unlocked the door.
The sound of the door squeaking gave the place an eerie vibe.
"Tadai--!"
Before she could finish her greeting, a guttural scream erupted from her.
The body of Hayami's now deceased aunt laid on the ground. Her body was half disintegrated and a pool of blood surrounded her. Shards of glass were scattered everywhere. Two windows were broken and the back door of the house was wide open.
"I was expecting you, Hayami Arashima."
Hayami fainted and All Might caught her before she hit the ground.
