Chapter Fourteen The Curse Has Been Broken

BANG!

"Huh?" You opened your eyes to see Ichiru on the ground, lying lifelessly. His blood is surrounding him and he got shot in the heart...

"Are you alright?" A familiar voice has asked you.

You turned around and immediately hugged Zero. "Zero! Thank God! I thought I was going to die!"

"I saw the letter that you left behind and I came here immediately," Zero explained.

"I'm so happy... Wait, Zero, where is your tattoo?!" You touched the side of his neck where his tattoo should have been.

"You broke the curse," he murmured.

"What?!"

"When the vampire cursed me, the only way to break the curse is if I find true love, but my true love had to return my feelings for the curse to break and you broke it," he whispered but his cheeks grew red.

You blushed as well and tears are streaming down your face. "So, I'm your true love?"

"Yeah," he smirked.

"But, what did that rose in your room have to do with the curse?" You asked curiously.

"If all the red petals fall off then I am stuck as a vampire, forever, but I don't have to worry now because I'm free thanks to you," he stated.

You felt happy but you rushed over to your father to untie him.

"Are you alright, Father?" You asked him.

"Yes, I'm okay... I'm glad you are fine as well, (Your Name)," your father answered.

You examined your father and realized he is doing really well. Zero's medicine really did help him and you felt relieved.

"Thank you for taking care of my daughter," your father said to Zero.

"It's not a problem... I am happy she came into my life." Zero gently smiled.

You and your father began to talk about your future while Zero cleaned up Ichiru's blood and he also buried his brother in the snowy woods. You felt bad that Zero had to go against his brother like that but Zero said he would never forgive himself if Ichiru killed you.

You wanted your father to go in Zero's castle but your father rather stay at the small home. You promised to visit him every day before leaving with Zero on his horse and carriage.

"(Your Name)," Zero spoke out as you both rode into the woods.

"Yes?"

"I love you too... I have never felt this way before with anyone else," he confessed in a low voice.

"I'm happy you came into my life too, Zero... I love you so much!"

You both exchanged smiles and you couldn't wait to get back to his castle to live a normal life. You broke the spell and now you both can live like normal lovers do.
