We weren't caught, thank god, and we also got escorted to the survey corps headquarter buildings by a blonde, girly looking boy that introduced himself as Armin Arlert.
"Hey Armin," I called. "It's okay if I call you Armin, right?"
"Yeah, that's fine, formalities make me uncomfortable," He smiled. "What did you need?"
"Do you know Mikasa?" I asked.
"Yeah, she's my best friend's adopted sister." Armin nodded.
"Adopted?" Tamada muttered beside me.
"Oh, okay." I nodded and then looked down at the neck of my horse.
Tamada, Kai and I were the 4 amongst 8 that signed up for the Survey corps. There were 3 other guys and one girl. Actually, it was Akari that signed up with us. The three boys were their own little trio but they seemed nice enough.

When we got there, I leapt off my horse and took it to the stables. Afterwards, I rejoined the group. But the others were still putting the horses back.
"So, why did you join the Survey Corps?" Armin asked.
"Well...my friend got eaten by a titan...and I have a special...'skill' that I'd like to present." I noted.
"What's the skill?" Armin asked.
"I could show you sometime." I shrugged.
"Sure." He nodded.
"I can do it too." Tamada butted in.
"Cool." Armin smiled.
"So, Levi, Eren, Mikasa, Hanje and Erwin will be back later tonight. So you won't meet them today, I don't think. Well...Hanje will probably come back, she just loves new recruits." Armin chuckled.
"Okay." We all said in unison.
Armin took us to what looked like a dining area. He then handed out soup bowls and bread. Tamada took an extra loaf. Armin didn't notice. We divided it in three. I got the end and my own.
"Armin baby!" An energetic female voice exclaimed.
Then she threw her arms around Armin's neck and hugged him. He groaned and pulled at her arms. She didn't seem to notice.
"Hi...Hanje." Armin choked.
She released him and then patted his chin-length blonde hair. Then she turned to me and then eyed me down.
"Are you new?" She demanded.
"Yeah, I'm a new recruit." I smiled.
"Armin! You never told me that!" Hanje threw her arms in the air and looked at Armin.
"Oh...Levi didn't tell you?" A bead of sweat rolled down his face.
"Course' I didn't, you think I want her to scare them all off?" A dull male voice answered.
I looked to the source and saw the black-haired short guy that was standing on Eren's neck before. He looked bored...and intimidating. He looked at me, his scowl deepening.
"Hi." I grinned sheepishly.
He didn't reply, he just stared me down, then Tamada and then walked away.
"All you recruits, stay away from the first room on the left upstairs." He ordered before slamming the door.
"Why?" Tamada asked a few seconds after the guy left.
"Oh, that's where Eren is, he's unconscious right now." Hanje sighed.
"The titan shifter?" Kai exclaimed.
"Yes!" Hanje's eyes lit up.
"That's so cool! I wish I could do that! Do you know how it happens?" Kai's eyes lit up as well.
"No, do you have any theories?" Hanje bounced up and down. This was clearly a topic she was enthusiastic about.
"Well...I had this one where..." Kai's voice zoned out and I began to ignore the two chattering.
"Aw, isn't that adorable?" Tamada smirked.
"She's like, 12 years older than him." I glared back.
"Still..." Tamada trailed off.
"Alright, new recruits! Time for the introduction. I am Hanje Zoe, that kawaii midget-man you saw earlier was my squad captain; Levi Rivaille. The Survey Corps main leader or whatever the heck we're supposed to call him is Erwin Smith. Then there's a whole bunch of people that died a few weeks ago that don't really need to be introduced obviously and there's Mike, our dog person. The other new-ish recruits are Eren Jaeger, Mikasa Ackerman, Jean Kirschtein aka Horseface, Armin Arlert, Krista Lenz, Sasha Braus, Connie Springer, Ymir, Reiner Braun, Berthold Huber and the female titan-shifter that is no longer with us because she's stuck in a rock-hard crystal made out of hardened titan skin, Annie Leonhart." Hanje smiled.
My head started to hurt with all the new names. I wouldn't be able to remember them all so quickly but eventually I would, maybe once I'd seen all their faces.
"Okay, so, Levi, Erwin, Mike, Eren, Mikasa, Jean or Horseface, Armin, Krista, Sasha, Connie, Ymir, Reiner, Berthold and Annie." Tamada recited.
"Jeez, you have a gift my dude." Kai sighed, looking at Tamada.
He just laughed and gave me a smile. I looked away, blushing.
