Monday had loomed into our lives once again.
But this wouldn’t be a boring Monday, today was the first lesson of defence against the dark arts, and we were going to start studying patronus’s.
Gryffindor’s had it with Slytherin after lunch; I couldn’t concentrate in any other lessons because of how excited I was.
We had potions first which went horrifically slow, and I didn’t have any help from Lily because she was sitting with Severus and Sirius had no idea either.
Lily sat with Severus in the first three lessons and barely spoke to us. James got seriously ticked off.
"Why is she always around that greasy snake?!" He ranted as we finished our lunch and made our way outside.
"They are friends James." I told him.
"Well were her friends too but if you haven’t noticed, she has ignored us all day, James you should confront them!" Peter said.
He was such a creep.
We spotted Lily and Severus sitting on the grass.
"Better yet, I’m going to show Lily how funny I am!" James said.
This could only end in disaster.
We hurried after James as he sped over to where Lily was sitting.
"Hey Evans! Why are you sitting with Snivelus Snape?" James asked in a taunting voice.
"Go away James." Lilly said in a tired tone.
James said a spell and Severus was flung into the air and hung upside down.
"Hey! Let me down!" Severus cried.
James laughed along with Sirius, Peter and all the other students who were crowding.
Lily was fuming.
"Let him down this instant!" Lily demanded.
"Only if you go on a date with me." James said coolly.
I looked at Sirius who looked back at me.
This definitely was not the right time to ask her out.
"I wouldn’t go on a date with you if you were the last boy on earth!" Lily screamed at him.
Severus dropped to the floor when James flinched at Lily’s harsh words.
Lily bent down to Severus but he pushed her away.
"I don’t need help from a dirty mud blood like you!" He shouted.
Tears formed in Lily’s eyes.
"Fine." She stormed off.
"Apologize Snape!" James demanded.
I grabbed his hand and pulled him after Lily, Sirius Remus and Peter also followed.
"Go talk to her!" I ordered.
James ran after her while I and the others went back into the castle.
We made it to DADA on time, Lilly and James weren’t there yet, and they were still missing when the lesson started.
"Okay class, today we will be looking at Patronus’s..."
The professor carried on talking until we had ten minutes left. James came in as we were all about to put our studies into practice.
James apologized and the teacher waved him off.
He came and joined us.
"Where is Lily?" I whispered.
