The door rattled before it was flung open as Harry marched in, his face a mask of complete, cold fury making me let out a squeak of alarm at the sudden intrusion as I shot off the couch in surprise. Harry's gaze landed on me and his hard eyes scanned me from head to toe before some of the steely anger ebbed from his eyes slightly and his broad shoulders relaxed slightly. Marching over to me with a equally furious looking Tanner following behind him he stopped just in front of me, his eyes scanning me from head to toe with a carefully placed blank look in his eyes.

"What the fuck happened? Why was the door unlocked?" He demanded making me gulp as Bonnie who had been taking refuge with me on the couch dived behind my legs whining quietly. I glanced at Tanner and Harry nervously, their hulking, muscular figures, I realised, would seriously make anyone quiver.

Shuffling nervously I explained to them both about how I had been busy with the hyperactive puppy who had been desperate to get inside and I had missed the fact that the door was unlocked when I walked straight in, only to realise it afterwards when I remembered never taking my keys out of my bag.  Harry had scoffed and fixed his dark glare on Bonnie as if the entire fiasco was his doing.

"And  you're sure you locked it when you left the house?" Tanner questioned seriously, his exotic eyes set in grim determination which was quite disturbing seeing him so serious as opposed to this morning when he had been joking around carelessly.

"A hundred and two percent." I replied making them both give me slightly weird looks at my oddly specific number but I just shrugged and avoided their gazes.

Harry nodded, his fingers stroking his clenched jaw in thought for a few seconds before he stood up, jerking his head towards the other rooms.

"Tanner. You know what to look for." He commanded as Tanner gave him a grave nod as both stood and began searching around the apartment leaving me entirely confused, however I just let them be and decided I would let them carry out their search for whatever it was they were looking for and they would tell me after they'd finished.

Meanwhile, I pulled out my phone from my pocket to check for any texts or calls I could have received - not actually expecting anything I was surprised to see a message from both Casey and Silver.

From: Silver

Yo green- bean, you seen Jace lately?

I frowned in confusion. Why would I have seen Jace?

To: Silver

Um..  no? Why would I have seen him? He's your boyfriend?? o_O

Seeing as Harry and Tanner hadn't come back yet I opened Casey's message only to be left even more confused and this time a little concerned.

From: Casey :)

Hey, Call me when you get the chance .. something's up with Jace ..

Okay, so something was definitely up but clearly now was not the time to talk to Casey so I locked my phone deciding I'd ring her first thing tomorrow, I hoped Jace was alright, I thought worriedly as I frowned at the odd feeling I was getting. Silver had sounded quite casual but Casey had sounded concerned which was strange considering Jace was Silvers boyfriend and he and Casey had never been that overly close anyway.

My fretting and over analysation were ended as Harry and Tanner emerged from my bedroom, my eyes widened as I saw Tanner looking disturbed as he collapsed on the couch opposite me whereas Harry looked furious, his muscles were tensed making them outline themselves along his arms and chest and his eyes were unforgivingly cold as he too sat down stiffly beside Harry.
