Taewon's POV

"I'll think about it Minsung" I replied to my partner in crime before packing up my files and going home.

It had been 2 days since Baekhyun warned me and look what happened

I already have a major suspect on my list.

But Minsung? I thought he was my best friend.

I started the company with him.

We raised our daughters together.

His daughter's best friend was my own daughter.

How could he backstab me like that?

He's just a suspect though.

I'll inform Baekhyun and maybe he can do more digging with it while I look out for my other employees

"Hyunae's Dad. Main suspect." I sent to Baekhyun after summarising what happened at the office that day

They had exams at school so Baekhyun must have been a little tired but I'll see how much information he gets.

He's even better than my private detectives.

Jiyeon's POV

Sehun has been a lot more distant recently but we text every now and then

I've gotten an awful lot closer to Baekhyun these days but it makes me kind of happy.

I know that he's still working on my investigation and it's nice knowing that someone's still on my side after all this.

Our exams went well today, I assumed that I was going to get high marks, along with Baekhyun, Hyunae and Sehun... other students too but we were always at the top.

As soon as I got back I home, I went up to my room and started revising again.

I texted Baekhyun and procrastinated for a while before I had to come down for dinner

"Baekhyun?" I asked as I walked downstairs

"Hi Ji" he waved as he took a seat at our dining table

"We're having the Byun's over for dinner sweetie" Mr mother informed me before walking towards the table

"Oh, how come? Business?" I asked before my father nodded

Dinner was quite silent for the most part but afterwards, Baekhyun went to speak with my father.

I don't know what it's about but I trust both of them.

I continued to study in my room before Baekhyun came in

"Hey" I smiled softly, putting my books away before walking to the bed where Baekhyun was already sitting

"We're very very close to ending this investigation" He smiled widely as he lay down in my bed

I happily lay next to him and stared at my ceiling "Thank you... for everything you've done for me"

Baekhyun turned his head to look at me and rested his hands behind his head "Anything for you Ji" he smiled contently

"How's.... how are you and Hyunae? She hasn't contacted me recently" I bit my lip as I looked up, avoiding eye contact so he didn't have to see me upset

He grimaced at the thought of the firm but I was too clueless to know or observe what was happening "Alright... she's with someone else now" he said softly

"Oh, really? I wonder why she didn't tell me" I said slightly disappointedly "we don't talk in school anymore"

"Sorry I've been hanging out with the old crew again.... I need to catchup with them for a while" he commented

"It's okay... the library is nice and quiet since everyone's busy studying for the finals" I smiled "One more week to go"

"One week till freedom" he smiled before my mum knocked on the door and came into the room

"Baekhyun, your parents are leaving now. I supposed you'd like to go with them?" She asked

Baekhyun nodded, standing up and making his way to the door before waving "Call you later" he winked before closing the door softly behind him

I sighed slightly and couldn't push away the slightly burn on my cheeks after his small action. It meant nothing though. Besides, I have Sehun.

Taewon's POV

I've stopped giving Minsung cases to work on so he can slowly start to disappear from the company. He did this to my daughter, and now he'll have to pay.

He came into my office one day to inquire about it actually

"Taewon, I don't have any tasks anymore and I don't understand. For being the second head, I thought I should have more workload than my juniors!" He exclaimed

"Minsung. You're moving to Japan." I claimed

"What? You can't make that decision!" He yelled at me

"Actually, I can. I told the police what you did to my daughter and now the government is kicking you out of South Korea" I chuckled "My suggestion by the way" I added

He was boiling with fury and was about to charge at me before my bodyguard pulled him back

"How did you find out anyway! I swear it's that Byun kid! I knew he was trouble from the start!" He yelled while being dragged out of my office

"You just admitted it" I lowly chuckled before calling the authorities "His daughter's exams finish this week. As soon as they're over, she has to go too" I told the government before ending the call and phoning Baekhyun

"Yes Mr. Jeon?" He asked

"I had him evicted from his home and within a week, he'll be in Japan" I announced

"Did he confess?"

"Somewhat... the authorities can look over that" I chuckled

"His whole family is moving?" He asked

"Yes, why?"

"Nothing"

"Thank you for all your help Baekhyun! You've done a lot for my family" I smiled

"Your welcome sir"

Baekhyun's POV

Well that was quick.. what about Jiyeon? I'm sure she'll be upset about Hyunae moving... but what's Sehun gonna do about it?

Bbrrrnngg... Bbrrrnngg

"Hello?" I spoke softly as I answered the call

"You ass!" Hyunae yelled from the other end

"Woah woah hold your horses there" I replied

"You told her didn't you!?! I tried to call her so many times today but she's not picking up!" Hyunae complained

"Hey, maybe you should think about her. She has a life beyond your needs and she feels lonely. How could you betray her like that!" I shouted back

"Huh, why else could she be mad?" Hyunae asked anyway

"Maybe her dad told her about what your father did" I snorted

"What did my father do?" She asked cluelessly

"You'll find out soon enough" I said before ending the call and laying back in my bed
