I felt great. Really great.
All my tests were over, I am in a wonderful, loving relationship and I am surrounded by great friends.
Walking down the street, on my way to school, I breathed in the fresh air. This all I needed in life; happiness. I could see my school up ahead but there was a lot of people stood outside the gates. I wonder what all the fuss was about. It looks like someone new, I don't recognise her. I know everyone but I don't know her.
I made my way through the crowd and stood in front of the new girl. Tall, blonde, skinny, just damn right beautiful.
"Hey, welcome to our school. I'm Serena, and you are?"
Before she got a chance to respond a flock of boys surrounded her, desperate for a bit of action or in some cases human contact. Of course horny boys ruin my chances of a new best friend.
Annoyed and utterly disappointed with the entire male species, I headed straight to class. I saw Isaac sat on his own, so I smiled at him and walked towards him. Before I got there the teacher pulled me aside to ask whether I had managed to finish the homework. When I had finished talking to her I looked back and saw Isaac talking to that new girl. A dark consuming feeling ate away at my stomach.
Pushing the feeling down I walked over to their table. Her perfect little giggle sent shivers down my spine. I had never seen Isaac laugh so hard at one stupid little girl!
Okay, I need to calm down. They're just friends they can't be anything more. Isaac is in a relationship, with you! Change doesn't always have to be a bad thing. Even though 99% of the time it is.
"Hey Isaac," I gave him the sweetest smile I could muster.
"Hey Serena, this is Jessica, she's new here." He looked over at Jessica and she smiled a small smile in my direction and then went straight back to her inside joke with Isaac. What a little witch, she couldn't even talk to me.
As the bell rang everyone slipped into their seats. I looked beside me and saw Jessica, fully equipped with pencils, pens, rulers, rubbers, colours and every other stationary equipment you could think of. Looks like we have a little miss perfect on our hands
I rolled my eyes but decided to play nice. "So how are you finding the school so far?" I tried to smile warmly at her.
She leaned over towards me, "Well its been fine, there are some really great guys." She smirked.
Of course it was guys she was after, does humanity have no hope? But once again, I played nice. "Oh yeah? Well what guys are you interested in?" I had to make sure this girl was in check, I can't have her liking just any boy. Especially not one with a girlfriend!
"Not that it's any of your business, but Isaac is pretty cute and I think he is into me. So I will mess with him for a while." She giggled.
Isaac?! What? She thinks my Isaac is interested in her?! Ha! He can't be, can he? She isn't even into him she just wants to mess with him. Regardless of whether he likes her or not, he is mine and I'm not going to let some horny bitch take him away from me!
