Jonathan's P.O.V —

It was the next day and I felt hyped that I finally get to hang out with my other friends. We were all going to meet up at the park then head somewhere and do something until it was time to go to acting class. During school, I tried making plans with Katrina but she seemed to be ignoring me so I decided to back off a little. Maybe she's mad that weren't hanging out after school or something else. I'll figure it out soon, I can't have her stay mad at me.

I tried looking for Katrina at the end of the school day but couldn't find her. I was worried but I was running kinda late on meeting up with my friends. I was rushing home to leave my backpack there then head to the park. I was speed walking and as I walked past Katrina's house, it looked empty but I still kept walking. Soon as I got home I opened the front door, jogging to my room and threw my backpack on the bed.

I walked to the park and I see Corey, he was talking to the girls by the water fountain. I quickly headed to where they were and said hey to everyone, they just smiled and waved at me. "So as I was saying, we can go get something to eat first because I'm really hungry" Corey continued talking and Amanda was giving me looks, not bad looks, but trying to get me to look at her because every time I did she looked away. I ignored it for a few trying to focus on on what Meredith was saying. We then headed to Dairy Queen since it was really hot out and I can feel my armpits sweating. Disgusting right?

We were on our way to the theatre just making conversation. Corey and Meredith were talking while Amanda was enjoying her ice cream, walking next to me. I decided to text Katrina to see if I can stop by later and see if she's alright.

Me: Hey, why didn't you wait for me after school?

Katrina: sorry Jon. I wasn't feeling good after school

Me: Maybe I'll stop by with food after acting and hang out for a bit

Katrina: Thanks💗 I'll see you later

I was ready to go hang out with Katrina, she's really fun to be with and makes me laugh. I hope she likes me more than a friend or who knows. Maybe she just finds me as a friend while I'm over here catching feelings when I don't want to. I need to focus on my future and just take it slow with her, I don't want to ruin this friendship, plus I barely met her.

Before I knew it I was daydreaming, "Hey Jon," I heard a voice say, "Jon?" I focused on the world and went back to reality. "Yeah? what's up?" I said looking at everyone feeling lost. "You were daydreaming huh?" Meredith looked at me giving me a curious look trying to figure out what I was thinking. "Maybe he was thinking about Amanda" Corey whispered thinking we weren't going to hear that but we all did and I see Amanda blush while Corey was laughing. I just nodded, feeling awkward. I looked at Amanda and I just see her smiling at me. I was nice and gave her a smile back because why not. We've been out here for couple minutes telling funny stories nonstop until the teacher came.
