Elizabeth POV:
We bounced around as the wagon pulled up to a small home in the woods. A man stood outside. He watched as we jumped out. "My boys." He said greeting his sons. He whispered something to smiled before greeting his wife. He looked at me "I suppose you're the miracle worker."
"Now tuck." Mae said.
"Ah look at em. He hasn't done that in years." We all turned to see Jesse and miles plunging into the lake. "BOYS!" Mae yelled. She speed walk over scolding them. I laughed as Miles ignored her swinging off a rope swing into the lake.

"There's a lot we need to tell you." Miles said quietly. The silence filled with crickets chirping. Stars twinkled above us as we sat on the edge of the dock.
"Then tell me."
"You won't believe me."
"How do you know?"
"Would you believe me if I told you I was 145?"
"What?"
"Would you believe me if I told you I'm invincible."
"Miles,"
"Would you believe me if I told you, I was immortal."
"Miles what're you talking about."
He grabbed my hand "I'm immortal. Have I ever been hurt? During the war. Did I die, I escaped those bombs without a scratch. I haven't aged a day in 120 something years. Same with Tuck Mae and Jesse. It's the spring, the one we passed on the way here. It's cursed. Do you believe me?"
I looked into his eyes. I thought about the war. I thought about the whole time I've been with him. "Yes." I said looking into his eyes. A smiled greens on his lips. He gently kissed me. I rested my forehead against his. "Thank you."
