Miles POV:
"Miles?"
"Shh."
"Miles you aren't."
"Yes I am." I said lacing up my boots.
"You can't."
"To bad I am."
"Then I'm coming."
"No."
"Miles you forget that I love her too."
I stared at him.
"So does Ma and Pa and just about everyone who's met her."
"Fine. Come. We're splitting up."
~
I stopped. The Taylor house was engulfed in flames. Bullets flew through the air. "NO!" I yelled running into the burning house.
I squinted through the smoke. "ELIZABETH?" I listened. The flames roared. "LIZ?"
Suddenly there was banging on the door.
"MILES!"
"LIZ!"
I quickly ran over tot he door. I kicked the fallen wood from the door. The door flew open. I quickly pulled her into my arms.
"Come on we have to get out of here!" She said I pulled her arm back.
"You're hurt."
"Miles it's nothing we have to go."
I quickly picked her up racing out of the house as I collapsed behind us.
I raced into the woods with her in my arms. "No! Wake up! Wake up!"
"SOMEONES OVER THERE!" An angry man called. Bullets flew in out direction. I sprinted down the trail.
I sudden horse stood on it's hind leg before splashing mud on us.
"Ginger! Woah girl."
I jumped on. "Come on girl!"
I jumped off the horse. "Miles!" Jesse yelled running over. "What're you-" he looked at her nearly dead body, then back at the spring.
"I have to Jesse. Let me try."
~
We watched as the wound disappeared.
"It's working."
She slowly opened her eyes. "Miles!" I quickly pulled her into my arms. I tightly held her. "I'm sorry." I said quietly as she let go. "The spring."
She quickly kissed me. "I would've done it eventually."
I smiled.
~
I held her tightly to me as she rested her head on my chest. Jesse slept across the fire.
"Now what?" She said quietly.
"You, Me, our little sidekick."
"Heard that." He called sleepily.
"Trying to have a moment here Jesse."
They both laughed.
"Its you, me, the world, and that little tag along. We've got forever."
