Another explosion shook the ground. He took my hand "Come on!" We ran through the woods. "Miles." He looked back at me "Jesse." I said realizing I had lost him when I toppled down the hill. He looked at the camp then at me "No we have to go."
"Miles!" I scolded "He's your brother."
He huffed "Alright." He looked at me "Stay here."
"Miles."
"Don't move."
Miles POV:
Im walking straight back into a war zone to save a boy who can't die. "Jess!" I yelled grabbing him. He quickly ran over "Im sorry smiles I lost her-"
"No I've got her, she insisted we came back for you. We gotta go."
A loud scream filled the air. My stomach dropped. "No!" I bolted back into the woods.
She was gone. Something shiny caught my eye. I knelt down. I picked up a small necklace. I looked at it closely. "They took her."

"What was I thinking. Leaving her alone." I said. Jesse knelt down on the ground "Hey Miles," he said concern in his voice "Ain't this hers." He said picking up a piece of her necklace. "She's leading us to her." He said looking up at me.
"She knew I'd come back for her. Jess we've got to find her."
                                  ~
We collected more and more pieces of her necklace. "Miles, remember those men that were on to us."
"We lost em, right?"
"What if they know, what if they think she, is one of us. They'll kill her."
We stopped at a German camp. I slowly bent down. I picked up one last piece of golden chain that finished off her necklace. "She's here." I said putting the final piece in my pocket. "What're wegoing to do?" Jesse said "we can't just walk in there and walk out with her."
"Only one way to find out-"
"Miles no!"
"Ok dumb idea, but we don't have much time."
                                 ~
I refused to sleep. We sat with protection of dark never straying too far from the camp. "What if she's not really in there? What if they're just tricking us?"
"Don't say that."
"Miles this could be a waste of time."
The quiet suddenly filled with whistling. To the tune of Mae's music box. "Told you she was in there." I quickly jumped up. I looked around. "No way." I smiled seeing a sack. I quickly ran over with light footsteps. I untied the bag. "Jesse. We found our way in." I smiled looking up.
